The dust bowl was an man-made ecological disaster that took over 10 years to bring into balance of it's time. Fracking may be the the ecological disaster of our time-what if there is no chance of bringing back into balance? Why wait to find out? Stop the fracking now! There are other ways to make money.
It's completely impractical. Who wants that kinda crap in everything surrounding their land? Everyone I've heard from that has allowed this to happen has regretted it.
Let's get this stopped NOW. The gas companies are destroying the environment, wasting water, contaminating fresh water wells and polluting the air. Boulder & Park counties are the only counties left in Colorado that are not saturated with natural gas wells.
Ban, not regulate, fracking.
Boulder County folks pay attention.
you can add me as a facebook friend
Dear Neshama, Thank you so much. Are you working with the boulder team with this. please give me a call. Ann
This is tragic if it is allowed to happen.
Thank you for protecting Boulder County. We've banned fracking in Longmont. We need to ban it statewide, then all over the USA and the world before the industry destroys what remains of this once great country.
I will sign as long as I don't have to give this Facebook Ap permission to use my profile for its purposes.
Teresa - You can just log into Causes and leave Facebook out of it entirely.
It didn't work that way - can you find another tool for gathering signatures?
Teresa - I have sent a note to the "Help Desk" at Causes to see if you must have a facebook account to join them. Still waiting. The other option is to allow facebook to access your app and then after you vote remove them. Pretty simple but still a bit of a hassle.
Thanks Regina. I attended the recent Boulder County Commissioners meeting where more than 100 citizens unanimously spoke against fracking. It was a clear public outcry to protect our environment and an united voice to ban fracking in Boulder County. We need to move quickly to inform Boulder County residents that the fracking moratorium is now being reviewed by the County Commissioners and County staff are suggesting ways to regulate not ban fracking.
I think you mean that county staff has presented recommendations, etc... To my knowledge, this isn't before the City Council, just before the County Commissioners.
