It didn't work that way - can you find another tool for gathering signatures?

Teresa - I have sent a note to the "Help Desk" at Causes to see if you must have a facebook account to join them. Still waiting. The other option is to allow facebook to access your app and then after you vote remove them. Pretty simple but still a bit of a hassle.

Have you heard today's news on this from the UK? It's been given the go ahead off the Lancashire coast, despite earlier trials resulting in small eathquakes!

We're fighting that battle in Boulder as well, Michael Smith! Why do we have to fight for clean air, water, and food? Seems really insane! :(

The amount of sand mining going on here in Wisconsin is insane. It's becoming quite a topic of debate here, but of course with Scott Walker and the entire state now being in republican control, regulations are almost certainly going to be loosened so that all these companies can get permits much quicker and environmental standards will be lowered to allow mining in more susceptible areas. I don't much blame the workers because it's a very lucrative business and they get paid quite well as do...

I don't much blame the workers because it's a very lucrative business and they get paid quite well as do the farmers here that lease their land to the mining companies. But it's definitely not worth the damage that will be done to the environment in exchange for this short-term source of energy and profits for a handful of mining companies. And once the land is torn up, it will take decades, if not centuries to repair the damage done to the land, not to mention the contamination of ground water. We have no clue as to what the effects may be from all this mining once all is said and done, but so what? It's a source of jobs, right? It's a source of 'domestic energy' that will help ease the dependence on foreign oil, right? Ya. For how long? A few years? Nope. It's just another way for a small percentage of people to make enormous profits and destroy the land in the process. Hopefully more people will come to this realization very soon or we may be seeing mountains of sand all around us...

why do we have to wait for something bad to happen to make different choices.
