Hey guys I think this is a good idea meant not to ridicule the president but rather an opportunity for him to clarify many pressing issues which no platform has sincerely given him the opportunity to do. We should all embrace this.

The reason that you should sign this petition is that President Jonathan has not been properly grilled on matters that affect this nation. He granted a presidential media chat on the 24 of June, Nigerians were asked to phone in to ask the president questions that matter to them, yet that did not happen. Today, 18 November 2012 at 7Pm Nigerian time, President Jonathan is hosting yet another media chat. Nigerians have already discredited the media chat, saying that Mr President is not going to be asked tough questions that deserve answers. Please sign this petition supporting the call for BBC Hard Talk to interview President Jonathan.

Andrew your post.....the competent nigerians on your mind are already working for him, like his spokesman for example, do you see any truth in what he does. You obviously have no idea what this is about.

You are an honest guy and you know how things work in Nigeria. Andrew has not got a clue, he is a sycophant. Watch out for his kind.

Do you think the interview will make any difference? Attitude has already been formed beside this is some body that can l....y with a straight face (evident in October 1 broadcast).
then go a head to d....m the consequences (evident in June 24 issue).

@all we can as well fold our arms and refuse to ask those who have chosen to govern us pertinent questions. I think we deserve accountabiltiy frpm our leaders while we examine oue ways as individuals. As a person I dont subscribe to God will do it for us. We need to work. Do we get good governance by not asking questions especially when our leaders go astray?. It is true none is perfect, But I beleive those who are fortunate to be leaders of this country must do well. Everyone has questions to answer from God but leaders has more.

Am worried, not about organizing this interview, but what the President would have in answer that Nigerians will listen to and accept. With each passing day, things are getting beyond his immediate control. Just today my attention was drawn to the fact that the Ministry of Agriculture is budgeting a whopping "sum of N60 billion for the purchase of telephone handsets for farmers". I don't know if this is another form of mechanized farming, or another form of hoes and cutlasses. It shows...

It shows nothing but decadence, and how far and fast corruption is sinking in the face of Nigeria's anti-corruption campaign. Of course this money will be budgeted for and released. What will the President do under this circumstance.
