I volunteer for the VFW on the weekends that I'm not working. And I speak to vets that are hurt and should file a disability claim and most of them say give the money to someone worse off than me. I tell them. That every veteran who fought to save this country needs to file because that is the only way that Obama will look our way and see that their is a serious problem. Something must be done about the lack of care given to those who have put their lives on the line to protect those who chose to stay behind and be spectators. And it makes me sick to here politicians and the news give there personal opinion on subjects that they have absolutly no idea
Well My Husband Broke his Back In the Army in 1968 and can,t get any Help they can,t find his Records Hes needs Help getting his rite records! Can you help??
that is a pile of bull shit...u need to call the national records center....there is no way they lost those records. and if they did and he can prove he did it, they should be paying him alot of back payments....fight them...u call your state representative, and if that doesn't work call john kerrys office in Mass. and tell them your story. just look up senator john kerry and it will show u his contact info.
I agree with Richard , if you dont fight enough, you might be left behind.. :/ Just like my friend / client who is a II WW veteran and he never got paid from that. He is 88 years old now and they think he will die and don't pay. But the guy is coming to my Rejuvenation Program and he is doing really well and I want help hm get money he deserves.
Obama has turned away from us because he wants a depended state not to help those who fought for our country
EVEN THOUGH I DON'T SUPPORT THE WAR, there are some U.S soldiers who regret being involved in the injustice, and are actually victims of this illegal war in Iraq and Afghanistan. I don't know whether white house petitions would help solve the issue, but I'm just hoping for the best as usual. Please share this with as many people as possible. Your friends, relatives, everyone that you know. You don't have to be an American to get involved.

"At least 23,000 veterans (ex-soldiers) and service members have died by suicide, according to data reported in 2008 by the U.S. Center for Disease Control and the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Center for a New American Security titled, “Upholding the Promise: A Strategy for Veterans and Military,” says the president must confront two serious problems on veterans issues: rampant suicides and more than a million unprocessed veterans benefits claims, mostly filed by combat-wounded men and women who volunteered to fight for America during the two military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan." https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/improvements-va-healthcare-system-effort-lower-rate-veteran-suicides/rwT90HWC.
Lets not forget Cold War Veterans and Peace time veterans that have injuries or disease that is service connected. The claims process back-log is a shame. It is really shameful and does not look very good on the Department of Veterans Affairs when a veteran can get Social Security Benefits faster than VA Compensation.
Very good point. Thanks.
Salam Alaykum, Abdul, you are correct in that many eyes were opened too the deception which was the war in Iraq. Salam Alaykum, Abdul, you are correct in that many eyes were opened too the deception which was the war in Iraq. There was some good to be gleaned from a bad situation, many of us through our contact with the people in Muslim countries discovered most are good moral people who simply are not like the main stream media portrays them. Many upon returning and realizing the truth behind the war and witnessing the horror, especially during the invasion when the heaviest use of air power and missiles occurred, simply were tormented by the fact they were used to perpetrate a lie and felt suicide was the only way to escape the guilt.
LIES AND PROPERGANDA THE TOOLS OF GOVERNMENT. THE DRUG WAR IS AN EXAMPLE OF WERE LIES AND PROPERGANDA FORCE POOR SICK ADDICTS TO PAY MANY TIMES THE PRICE OF GOLD FOR DRUGS THEY CANT LIVE WITHOUT . IT IS A WAR ON ITS OWN PEOPLE BUT NO ONE CARES SINCE THESE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LABELED AND INVALIDATED.
As a Combat Veteran with PTSD the VA has done everything to deny and delay my claims, 2 years and 8 days in appeal process and nothing being done, these are the reasons so many Veterans take their own lives, they feel the VA is turning their backs on the Veteran, its a shame but Illegal Imigrants get better health care than Veterans who served their Country on lower wages than the Median income and in a Combat zone none the less....
thats because they want a one world government which they already have in place their just waiting for the push button. we have to remember that we are doing the best we can and keep at it. with things like this. God bless everyone that has joined and all their families.
They are still "evaluating [my] claim" for my marriage. My husband and I were married two and a half years ago. Several of my friends have taken their lives since we've returned. If there's money for "Obamacare" then there is money for the VA. Our country needs to get its priorities straight.
PTSD is rampant with the young gentlemen also! If they would screen them when they return and have a follow up visit later maybe this could be detected and taken care of. They are so excited to be home that the few questions they are asked, of course they will lie so they aren't detained any longer from seeing their loved ones! Something has to be done....NOW!! Before we lose many more of our loved ones!
And the women...
Yes and the women, I am really sorry!!
glad to sign and supporty our millitary and veterans..there always onmy mind and in my heart.... god bless them and their families... thank you for your sacrafices.. to keep our country safe you are never forgotten!
one is just too many!!
youre right!!and thank you fore the invite...
Our goverment swept our Vietnam Veterans under the carpet...We can't allow this to happen again! I never supported the was in Iraq or Afganistan but I DO support our Troops! Its not their fault our goverment deployed them due to its lust and greed for power and oil!
About a million and a half signature's to ban cruelity to animals but we can't get 25,000 (THAT WOULD GO BEFORE CONGRESS)signature's to help stop suicide in our men & women veterans...I don't believe this :(
The Veterans deserve top notch care, so your support of Vets and those that are on avtivity duty will need the best of care when they return home>.
their treating vets like they do people who get out of prison they just send them on their way with no help and then send them straight into the world. a world different from the one they knew. same with the military not saying their criminals but that the situation is the same. neither should be like that.
Please sign and get this petition passed for our vets. Thanks.
Why not have vouchers so that veterans can get health care at ANY hospital in our country. They deserve the best care; tax payers pay for it, and maybe they should just be gifted into the private sector. That might save us lots of money and get veterans better care. Just sayin'
It has been suggested before and is a great idea, in my opinion. If a VA is overcrowded, why not allow a vet the option to seek civilian healthcare?
If there's one memory I have never forgotten It is my time over in Vietnam.9 Yr.Old kid. If I still remember those years, I can relate to those young Brothers going thru it now. They have not really took care of us. Took years of B.S. to even get a look at what the whole experience has done to our generation. Please don't allow them to do it again. You have my support.
19 yr. old. Sorry. LOL.
