I am so stunned, I just do not know what to say. It is through tears that I beg that these men be forced to Pay for their crimes of "cruel and unusal" punishment. Even a "dog" should be protected from that. I have dogs, yes sometimes they get out of the yard, but to shoot a cowering dog 3 times is beyond cruel and into SADISTIC. what gave them the right to chase this poor dog down like tht? She was in no way acting aggressively even after being shot and in pain. I am so grateful that...

It has long been said that you can judge the character of a man by the way he treats an animal....

Ya know, animals are so much kinder, and more loving than a lot of people are. This shit REALLY upsets me.

This whole story is very troubling to me. Why were the police chasing this dog? What were the circumstances behind the police even being involved with this dog? Regardless, the actions of the police officers are contemptable at best and show a total disregard for the humane capture of this dog. Without any agression on the part of the dog toward the officers what would motivate the police to take these sadistic actions? Did they get some perverse pleasure over tazing a dog? And did they...

And did they believe that they were on an African Safari to hunt down a game animal? I hope that the owners of this dog prevail in court and the officers involved pay a steep price for their poor judgement.

you've got to be kidding me! what are they going to do next? shoot a little kid who is "loose" from his back yard & found in someone else's back yard? OMG! For those guys to high five & take pride in what they did is absolutely sickening!

These are the people who are supposed to protect? I think that their actions speak volumes, no wonder there is no protection for the people any more due to these so called officers of the law who have become judge & jury and have the license to kill whom ever they want. I agree with Klaus Plikat.

That article literally makes me sick to my stomach. Newfoundland dogs are one of the most gentle breeds so why on earth would this man feel the need to not only tasser the dog but shoot it 4 times! That is unbelievably cruel and in no way necessary. And the $%#head probably got off with 'paid leave'. I'd like to get a hold of that guy - you me and and fully charged tasser and no way to escape. See how you like it, you big freakin' bully! Oh and then when you are begging for mercy, a couple...

See how you like it, you big freakin' bully! Oh and then when you are begging for mercy, a couple well placed but not lethal gun shots would seem appropriate pay back. I remember being at a party a few years back and this cop was bragging how he shot a dog who was barking at him as he was in pursuit of a criminal. I WENT OFF on the guy - told him he was a huge bully and why couldn't he just scare the dog off with a gun shot near by? Oh no, he had to show what a big tough guy he was. Completely inexcusable!
