Okay FL, you are quickly becoming to new title holder of "Why are the citizens of FL allowing their leaders to be so irrational" award. The current title holder is TX. But FL is quickly establishing a record to be proud about: 1st you have to be conditioned like a marathon runner to endure the rigors of trying to vote! 2nd One has to pee in a cup and pay the lab for the priviledge of doing so (the lab is partly owned by the current Gov who makes $$$ off this) before you can receive public...

Then it will be state wide. I know it was before our time, but goggle this or read a book: There was a time when a "victory garden" was the most patriotic thing Americans could do. And incidentally, it kept many American from starving to death. Growing one's own food has been the mainstay of American life since the Pilgrims and certainly before the Pilgrims when Native Americans lived that way, off the land. This is insane, YES, insane on it's face. What is wrong with FL? I grew up in FL and it was not the $$ grubbing, irrational place it seems to have become....so again: What's the matter with FL?

They own the property right? They pay taxes right? Private property rights should be protected and growing FOOOOOOD on your own property should be no different!

Lawns are a left over from the expanses that were used to graze sheep in European estates. If you insist on lawns, then have them grazed.

why is growing a pesticide laden yard encouraged but growing healthful food is not? during World War 2 it was every American's patriotic duty to grow their own vegetables so more resources were freed up for the war effort. our main war now is on poverty, exacerbated by high unemployment and high food prices. support your citizens in their efforts to become more self-sufficient!
