yeah i have been watching that!!! We have a great fan base that loves Fire Island. So far about 1,930 people saw this post and by the end of the day it should be closer to 10,000 people or more. It's great to see people come together like this. Keep it up!!!

I will donate $100 to the OBFD if I can get an actual shell like the one pictured on this webpage. Those who know me know full well that I am a painted shell and painted rocks collector. My check is almost in the mail. Whom do I see to get the shell used in the picture sent to me to close the deal?

That's an awesome idea! We should definitely be giving those out in thanks this summer to everyone that has participated in the campaign! So far we need to paint 57 shells! Who is going to get shell #58?

Fire Island needs our help!
Hey guys thinking about everyone.You might have already heard about the fundraiser we at Luke's are doing on Sat. Dec. 1st. bringing as many fire Island bartenders as we can to guest bartend in hopes to contribute to rebuild Ocean Beach and all of Fire Island.

In just 4 days we have raised over $8,000 for the Ocean Beach Volunteer Fire Department. The OBFD has been working overtime in their efforts and need our support! All funds raised will be used to purchase and maintain firefighting and emergency rescue equipment and supplies, train firefighters and rescue personnel.
