Its not enough to just go to 40 weeks. If the baby needs more time, let him/her have all the time he/she needs. I pledge to NOT induce even after 40 weeks.
And, no, I'm not pregnant. Lol
Something is wrong with the page. I cannot "take the pledge." I let my first go until my water broke, even though I was so tired of being pregnant. It was what was best for her. I actually went to 42 weeks, pushing 43. She knew when it was time.
All three of my children were born cesarean after I was in full labor and it became obvious that natural birth wasn't a viable option.
Thank g-d I'm at 40 weeks and I really do want him out ;)
here to help...
I've been needling myself for a bit to no avail. Yes, I know manipulating ur own Qi and stuff.... I have considered it :)
I work in ob and I've been saying this for years.
As a personal experience: when the time is right the placenta is ripe and also ready to be expulsed. I had three experiences (two inducted) and the last one was the best one (spontaneous birth); I waited and my baby ist big and healthy, no complications, no jaundice, no abnormal pains, didn't loose liters of blood, etc.
Lets influence our CNO & CEOs to not accept inductions and advocate on behalf of the patient to go 40 weeks!
I think women rush pregnecy to much you ask them when are you do theyll say doctor says such a date but if i dont go by certain time im gonna be induced
Sense when do we have such a choice Baby will be here when its ready...
and once its here your gonna wonder if you can stick it back up there sometimes LOL LOL
I wish way more mamas were aware of the potential problems... although "Go the Full 40" is misleading, too many people don't realize going longer is perfectly normal.
