Talk to pregnant women and invite them to feel the baby in the womb; they talk to moms!

My little girl waited till after 1am of April 10th which was her due date and then my hard labor started at 4:26am and she was out by 6:25am! When there was even mention of induction I looked at them like they were crazy. My son who is 9 now was born the day before his due date. For me I did my best not to take on other peoples thoughts about my delievery date! How about those people who say: Oh my goodness you look so big your going to go any day! hello she/he will come when ready! Even if...

So to all the Momma's out there! Hang in there and listen to your body! Very Passionate Momma here!

We started handing out "40 reasons" flyers to triage patients going home, I don't know what happened to them.

my first two ended in emergency c sections, so you have to be safe for you and the baby.

Big love to all the 40+ week-ers out there! I waited it out with my baby and she was born at home & in water at 43weeks 3days

I didn't get to 40 weeks, but it was due to my body naturally delivering at 37 weeks 3 days, not medical intervention. If I could have kept him in there for at least another week, if not the whole 40 weeks, I would have! :)

So important! Give your baby and your body the gift of time.

so difficulft for many women intimidated by professionals. The last birth I attend was of a lady that was told that she had to be induced because the placenta was bad! She gave birth with 41 weeks beautifully at home.

I know, Mary Zwart, I know... The psychological terrorism of a bad placenta, of the insufficient amniotic fluid, of a too big baby... Poor women...

I was told all those things except the too big of baby part, they were telling me my baby could lose weight in utero! I did lots of my own research so I called B.S. on all their pressure techniques, but the Dr's manner made the last 12 days (post date) incredibly stressful which is not what a mama needs before birth.

40, or 41, or 42, or 43, or more... don't presume all babies take the same time to be ready. I have had three baby girls, all at different gestations of their OWN choosing and timing. One at 42, one at 41+5 and one at 42+2. Good friend of mine only just had her babe this month, at 45 weeks!
