I had a lovely birth four months ago at over 43 weeks. A happy, healthy baby and a relatively easy labor. Find a care provider who will let your baby come when he's good and ready!
I've always waited the full 40 weeks ,on my second pregnancy I waited even past the 41st week, my son was overdue but I refused to be induced I waited for him to start my contractions and it was the quickest birth ever only had contractions for 6 hours and when the nurse went to check at how far his head was she asked me to push and out came his head ,she said stop pushing and hold your breath as she ran out of the room to go find the doctor ,less than a minute later the doctor and nurse...
I've always waited the full 40 weeks ,on my second pregnancy I waited even past the 41st week, my son was overdue but I refused to be induced I waited for him to start my contractions and it was the quickest birth ever only had contractions for 6 hours and when the nurse went to check at how far his head was she asked me to push and out came his head ,she said stop pushing and hold your breath as she ran out of the room to go find the doctor ,less than a minute later the doctor and nurse were back and I pushed and out he came , that was the most pleasant labor that I had ever had ,compared to my first labor when I had pushed for 2 hours and 42 minutes ,I've had all 3 of my children carried full term and they were all healthy 8 pound babies ,as bad as the last couple of weeks get do to having back aches and braxton hicks, even sleepless nights because it's very hard to get comfortable ,its always best to wait until your contractions are going steady for about 30-45 seconds and 5 minutes apart from eachother ,on my first pregnancy I was having contractions steadily but they were 5-8 minutes apart ,so I grabbed my bags and left for the hospital the nurse examined me and told me that I was only a fingertip dilated, but my OBGYN had told me at my last visit a week prior that I was 4 centimeters dilated ,so at 6AM the nurse asked me if I wanted to wait for my doctor to get there or go home and come back once the contractions were more close ,so I said I'll wait for the doctor ,so at 9AM when my doctor arrived she examined me and said your 7 centimeters dilated, I told hher that the nurse said that I was only a fingertip dilated and that she wanted to send me home and my doctor said she isn't trained to beable to tell how much you are dilated , So Thank God that I decided to wait for my doctor to arrive or I prob would of gave birth at home , the labor moved very quickly from there I wasn't able to get an epidural or any pain medication because by the time my doctor put in the order and waited for the anesthesia doctor to arrive I had already finished dilating so I started pushing and was already in the middle of giving birth by the time that the anesthesia doctor showed up ,so I gave birth naturally ,and the pain was indescribable, after that experience I always would tell my OBGYN at the 7th month that I wanted an epidural ,and those epidurals are truly a Blessing , they allow you to enjoy the birthing process ,my last 2 babies I had epidurals for and they came out so fast and the pain nothing like my natural birth ,I could still feel my contractions and it was 10 times lower than my natural birth , it felt like pressure compared to my natural birth that felt like Edward scissor hand was carving up my stomache from the inside ,that pain from my natural birth is something that I will never forget , I am all for epidurals now , they truly change the labor and birth into an enjoyable event , waiting to 40 weeks is what's best for the baby ,and when your baby is ready to come out it'll show you by giving you contractions , I truly pray that all of you mommies to be have a happy and safe birthing experience ,with beautiful healthy babies born ,May God Bless you all .
I think that natural process is the better.
I was induced at 39 wks with my daughter because I was miserable & stressed to the max as I had a horrible rash from head to toe called pupps from the hormones & the second she was born it was gone so I was thanking God for pitocin! I was scratching myself silly for 2 weeks & had scabs on my arms & legs it was horrible!
Paciencia y respeto a los procesos naturales, esperar a que el trabajo de parto inice por si mismo es mejor opcion en salud para las mamas y los bebes sanos.
I am on my 40 week and I can wait until my baby girl wants to come. If she is too comfy it is for a reason, if it is passed the 41 week then we will do all natural ways to poke her and remind her that we are ready to meet her and see her!
The best idea ever..
