It is appallingly apathetic that this petition was started over 30 days ago and only 43 people have signed on! Isn't anyone reposting this? Come on! Just what heinous tragedy has to occur before people will start worrying more about the devastating ecological threats being jammed down our throats than being "politically correct" with the people in our lives!

"All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men [and women] to do nothing." Edmund Burke.

Donna.....Too many people are not familiar with fracking, which is probably the reason for the low amount of signatures. I live in PA, where they allowed it without putting strict regulations in place first--and now the problems are beginning to surface. It all comes down to $$....Yes, people need work and money--but at what cost?

I understand what is happening, people are waking up and realizing the scam the EPA and the liberals are running to get their name in the headlines and making things up. If Obama and the democrat liberals would stop interfering with any use of America's natural resources that are plentiful then fracking would be a total last resort and would probably never happen because if we used the readily available oil in the country, that would save the economy long enough to get a real alternative to fossil fuels instead of wasting our entire future and trillions of dollars to reward the democrat donor companies with their hopeless strategy which are going bankrupt daily at we and our ancestors expense for the next 2 or 3 generations. As far as the pollution from fracking, if the EPA can't find enough to warrant shutting every thing down then they will pump it into the area all the while they are experimenting on human guinea pigs(of course the media neglected to report on them), to prove the particles and gases in the atmosphere are making people sick.

I and many others have been protesting about this for months...months. There have been hearings and all sorts of petitions about this that many have signed. Do you support any environmental groups? Riverkeeper? Clearwater? Greenpeace? These groups have sent out petitions. I have FBooked the governor a number of times about this and my state senators. Many are protesting this. Glad you finally found out.

I've tried to sign and the 'Sign the Petition' button is disabled. Neither is it working for a colleague who I posted it too. Perhaps that's the reason so few signatures.

All I see here are a bunch of pansie assed tree huggers whinning. Yet. I bet that each and everyone of you are sitting in your oil gas electric heated homes, bathing in hit bubbly bath tub driving your electric cars where the battery causes more contamination to the planet than does oil or coal. Get off your high fluting asses move into some cave and start wearing buck skin for clothing. Everthing we use in energy produced

It's ALL about ENERGY and the/our/your hedonist WASTE!
At the end of the day, it's our own DUMB fault!
Humanity's fate is ALL about the overconsumption of Energy. Yet, AMERICA Continues to WASTE over 70% of the Energy it Consumes.
Our hedonist energy waste is culturally pervasive, inexcusable, and suicidal.
(1) 100's of millions of lights unnecessarily burn energy every day and night.
(2) We over heat, over cool, and over light our municipalities, businesses, offices, homes, churches,...

(2) We over heat, over cool, and over light our municipalities, businesses, offices, homes, churches, SCHOOLS, etc….
(3) Over packaging is the norm, and recycling is inadequate. Our landfills are busier than ever. Plastics (all of which are derived from petroleum) are the cause of most cancers.
(4) Most Americans do not minimize their driving; road congestion is horrendous.
(5) America's incessant obsession with driving and road construction is the ultimate contradiction to sustainable living.
The only way to eliminate waste and over demand for energy is by using the economic impact of taxing energy. Crude oil must be taxed at $160 per barrel(42 gal) and this 'energy consumption tax' be offset by making Federal Income Tax begin at $60k. Only with a substantial and tangible dollar consequence/reward will there be the incentive to conserve energy. Until the price of gas is $6 to $7 per gallon, Americans will not significantly reduce their over consumption and energy waste.
Global warming continues to increases with our persistent waste and overuse of fossil fuels. Human extinction will be the reward for our failure to rapidly and broadly implement renewable energy supplies. The incentives necessary to implement sustainable and renewable energy supplies can ONLY occur when we employ the economics of TAXING ENERGY.
Look around you; the energy waste is EVERYWHERE!
Use your influence and resources to promote Energy Conservation.
Americans need to be ever reminded/told to STOP the/our/your Energy WASTE!

I will stop driving when you pry my cold dead hands off the wheel of my big beautiful SUV and I will heat/cool my house for my own comfort as I am the one who is paying the electric bill on it. I will keep on as many lights as I deem necessary.

Say no to "FRACKING"! We have been poisoning our earth for long enough. I'm a Nurse and all the chemicals out there is causing all kinds of diseases. Stand up American's and say we have had enough.

I view the Earth as a sacred being, Our Mother.
I believe in the Precautionary Principle.
Fracking has been shown to be unsafe, and any studies contrary to this are funded by special interests.
Any jobs, economic gain are not worth the risks. Most of the economic gain is not local, and the needed repairs to roads, depletion of water sources, the ruining of the natural beauty is an economic loss greater than any gain.

Be remembered for the Governor Who Did The Right Thing.
