Dear Governor Cuomo,
This is incredibly important to me because of the concern I have with the disastrous effects fracking causes, for example, safe drinking water and clean air-- a very simple but necessary part of our lives. Fracking does not only put our immediate future at risk. NYC is already being retrofitted for the current effects climate change has done in respect to current (and raising) levels of our seas.
Especially after a hurricane like Sandy, we have seen and felt, truly, how vulnerable we would be to even higher sea levels. I live in Ohio, but I demand this on behalf of us all, not only as an American, but as a citizen of the world we call home. And that's why it's important to me. Home should be safe place -- and I believe that's why we're all fighting so hard for this.
Thank you.

Sincerely,
Katie

As an environmental engineer with a nuclear engineering degree, I'd like to see this issue help folks realize that we all would have been better off to agree to allow the development of acceptably safe methods to deal with nuclear wastes, and implement the use of nuclear facilities to generate the electricity our society seems to take for granted. Under the current preponderance of fossil fuel fired boilers, we continue to pollute the air. Nuclear fuel use to produce electrical energy...

Nuclear fuel use to produce electrical energy produces no carbon dioxide, nor any arsenic emissions which are very difficult to address in fossil fuel fired systems. Rather than railing against something, how about being for something?

I doubt I'll live long enough to see the nuclear fusion process used as a means of powering an electrical generator, but such could be even cleaner than the nuclear fission systems in use throughout the world today.

Do not wait anymore . As already so far many campaigns, advertisement has conveyed this message in different forms, so do not be indifferent to this call. Take action, here and now. See how easy, it's just a click of the key top.

Enough with this ridiculous " frackin" solution to our energy gluttony, Think conservation and renewables, not frickin' fracking!

Why aren't more people doing something about this? Everyone I know seems so disinterested, or don't know what you are talking about. What a blow to the environment, and people's health. These gas companies do whatever they feel like without regard to who, or what it is destroying. Come on WAKE UP before it is too late.

Ban fracing would drive the cost of oil to $200 per barrell then you will be screaming about the price of gasoline, thousands of wells have been fraced you would think we all would be dead by now.
