I tried to give blood once at my university, and they told me they don't take blood from my ethnicity, for scientific reasons. Otherwise, I would love to help if I can :)
From what I know, they don't take blood if you have traveled to certain countries in the past 12 months or so. The restrictions is because of some prevalent diseases in those countries. See 'travel outside the U.S' section here: http://www.redcrossblood.org/donating-blood/eligibility-requirements/eligibility-criteria-topic
I was educated about the travel thing in my university too :P
Unfortunately, I can't give blood because I'm on a medication (Zydis) that makes it unable for me to give blood otherwise I would.
Ther is not problem mi sweet Angela. Psiquiatric medication isn´t a problem to donate you blood-and absolutly and beatifulll gift toward humanity. Cheers.
I called the Red Cross here in Victoria and they said because I am on Zydis I wouldn't be able to donate. That was last year. Maybe something has changed. I will call them again tomorrow.
I wish I could donate blood, by I have two different types of anemia and was told I cannot donate. I will find another way to participate!
I take medications or I would give.
Every Person is beautiful, we are all children of God, and we all deserve to live, and to give and receive help!
I was spared, this the very least I can do...
I agree the pledge what of u?
NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE IN THE WORLD THERE IS SOMEWHERE YOU ARE ABLE TO GIVE BLOOD AND IF YOU CANNOT GET TO THEM THEY WILL MAKE IT TO YOU.....IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT RACE/ETHNICITY/OTHER YOU ARE,... BLOOD+NEED= NECESSITY FOR SURVIVAL, FOR EVERYONE.
