I spent many delightful days at the Topeka zoo with my family. I remember the building with the elephants and Peek a sue the hippo! In fact I saved bags of bottle caps to help purchase these animals. Good luck Tembo and Sundra!

The Topeka Zoo elephants, Sunda and Tembo, are the latest victims of the anti-zoo war that is raging! Please think about what is best for YOUR elephants, and don't let anyone bully you into a choice that is not theirs to make!

I checked this elephant sanctuary out and it's where circus' and zoos send REALLY old or infectious elephants to die...Our elephants don't need to go there! They aren't that old or sick! Sign the petition and break some wanna-bee hipster having tree huggin hippy's heart! Ya know you want too...

I've watched these two beautiful elephants over the years. They need to stay together, they have too much of a bond to seperate them! I've also watched in amazment at the interaction of the elephants and handlers. They understand the handlers very well and do so willingly at every command that I saw the handlers ask. I say forshame to the people that are causing all the trouble!

Old animals are the same as older people and they hate change. Let them live out their lives at our zoo and maybe put them in a bigger area.

I believe in the new zoo leadership and that they will provide proper care for the elephants. They also have plans to improve the elephant exhibit, as they have other exhibits in recent years. I also don't think the elephants would necessarily be better off in a different environment at this point in their lives.
