That's dumb my friend's daughter's 18th bday falls on thurs oct 18th. I was going to bring her out. Honestly I think 18+ should be Wednesday & Thursday. Too busy for one day but come on it is better than the 18-20 going to unsupervised parties full of drugs & alcohol. Besides 18 to join the Military. They should be allowed to have fun. I wonder how cops will treat kids that just left a Shays event at 11pm just walking to their cars. Will it be a crime to go to mighty Taco or Jim's steak out...

What about the 18-20 year old bar employees? They are making a bad choice & most of all it hurts business in a city that is already struggling for business.

Call me nieve but for the few that sneak some alcohol, they'd do it some where else. But when I was underage I'd go to Club Velvet on under night in Canada. I was 17/18 a few friends were 19&20 but we didn't care about the drinking we just had fun out dancing & hanging out with our friends. I know that was centuries ago (lol) but 18 is still 18 even if Gen Y doesn't seem to comprehend the importance of voting. Grrr I'm venting now. LoL

clearly its the 21 and older crowd that bring the drama because they get to drink in our faces and then they get wasted and don't know how to act at all so we're not tho blame. and besides we only had one night to go on the strip and if you didn't like it you could've stay at home or went somewhere else on that ONE night!

I am a parent of teenagers. I appreciate the opportunities given to them to have an appropriate venue to go have decent fun. Instead of them trying to create one. Which can lead to more trouble that we could ever imagine. My 19 yr. old is out picking today.. If I was in goo physical condition I would right out there with them. Good Luck. Please restore, they are not serving liquor to the adults under 21, so what's the problem? Whose bright idea was this?

the same crap has been going on since clubs began...people get shot, stabbed...its the city..what are you going to do...go back in time and change that? and with drugs, just ban them if you notice the drugs from the club, don't ban everyone, it isn't fair.

I agree that the band should be lifted but these underage youth need to stop acting irresponsible, getting into fights, causing the police to get involved and making a ban happen. There has to be a way to have 18-20 year olds, and have them act responsible at the same time. I know that I used to go to Chippewa weekly until the fall after I turned 21 and then stopped, so I know that the area needs that age range of business!

Already Buffalo is the 3rd Poorest city in the country, with this ban Buffalo will number 1 soon.

In a city like Buffalo, where any business is good business, it is completely fiscally irresponsible to take away such a good source of revenue. Other cities know how to cement their reputation as a college town. Apparently Buffalo is not interested in attracting new students and getting business to their paltry downtown area. This law is absurd. Absolutely punish clubs and bars that allow underage drinking. Tell them to crack down more on fake IDs if you so choose. But don't punish everyone...

But don't punish everyone that wants to have a good time by closing those clubs to people under 21. It's one night of the week that we ask for a good time, because the rest of the week we're mostly studying or working. So not only is this ban economically a bad idea, you're also taking away one of our major sources of entertainment. Please bring back college night. Keep up business downtown, and make Buffalo one of the signature college towns in the USA.
