sad, but why government not care about their children, when it will going to finish?
We can only help these poor people if we learn to share and not be greedy. God may be able to help, but we can't use him as a duck to back away from our fellow humans.
Uimitor si noi avem de toate.
people have inhabited Kenya for thousands of years, and they have been finding water for thousands of years. if there is a shortage of water now it is because of the over-population of humans. some words of advice for Africans: engage in zero population growth- stop having so many children you cant support, and stop poaching and killing your native animal species.
Sam Kinnison once had an act which included yelling at Africans to "move!".
Cynthia Livingston how did the species of humans move and populate the earth? Times were a struggle during migration and expansion then and guess what.... there wasn't a US yet. You move to find the basic elements to survive and adapt, or perish. Actually nature is built on that simple principle.
If I lived there I would kill any animal to feed myself and my family they don't have the convenience of a wall mart every mile like we do here in the USA. They need wells and piping even if they are hand operated pumps.
I am surprised that with all our technology in this world, we have not been able to provide water for this country! It stupefies me!! If the world were to "step up" and be aware of these situations, don't you think there would be a change for the good of all people!!?? I feel it is all political control on these poor people! Something must be done! IF, we the people, come together and "Give a Dam", would anyone be able to stop us?? I think not! Let's do it! I challenge each person that...

The "country" has water. Large parts have little. Climate change, deforestation, desertification, overgrazing etcetera.. who's to blame?
If it is not explained to them that their way of life is actually harming themselves in the long run then how are they to realise the gravity of their actions
THank you, Nancy! The problem seems huge but the solutions are not that complicated and totally attainable. It is in our reach and our power to create real change.
The problem of water shortage needs to be tackled on urgent basis. The mindset of concerned decision- makers and organizations needs to adapt to the unfolding reality. They can no more avoid a bold decision by hiding behind invalid feasibility studies or unsubstantiated arguments.
sustainability must be a priority.
who wouldnt help these people ..my problem is money gpoing into the wrong hands ....as so much already does .... for all we know ur money could be supporting wars warlords terorroists ....etc etc
I agree. Always do your homework! Vet the charities. Ask questions about the Board of Directors. That's why I chose Blood:Water Mission. The also work with partners in Africa and empower the villagers to provide sustainable solutions.
We must be able to improve this situation... so sad!
We can improve it! The problem seems huge but the solutions are actually not that complicated. Often the water is only 60 feet below the surface. These places do get rain, they just need a system to catch and contain it during the rainy season so it lasts through the dry season. Blood:Water Mission's dam project is designed and ready to go, as soon as the financial goals are met. Visit them and give what you can. That's how you can help.
