Back in 93 I contacted one of the major honey producers to get advice on Bees. I was planning on starting some hives. He told me than that the bee population was dying, He said that they were not sure what was causing the problem. He said there were several theory's, but pesticides were one of the biggest problems. I stopped using any kind of pesticide on my outdoor and indoor plants.

Every year I battle hornets, who love my sunflowers, but will not spray in fear of killing a bee! It is a trade off I am willing to deal with. As for the decline, I have noticed there are not many honey bees in my yard, garden and area. I have had two squash plants grow big, without one squash forming. I attribute it to the decline of bees. I hope our efforts to change the way people farm and control pests. Organic is best!

Due to an obvious drop in the honey bee population, my apple tree failed to produce this year, and my vegetable garden out-put was disappointing. I can only imagine what has happened to the farmer's crops in New Jersey this year. This needs a solution ASAP.

I am not up on the latest science regarding what troubles our bees, but I agree they need to be protected.

We have to protect bees if we are to have a food supply. We are dependent on them to pollinate everything that our food comes from. Stop the use of pesticides.

As world populations continue to grow, what are we going to do about food if there are no honeybees to pollenate crops?

We need to keep alive bees if we want food in our tables!

Bee's are important for pollinating flowers and more, stop what is killing them. Possibility of their death could come from pesticides. I Love Bee's, they are hard workers.
