I have tried, during the last few years, to grow more 'bee-friendly' flowering plants, and saw some bees during this last disastrous summer, despite the rain.
Well done you Sylvia - our bees seem to be thriving despite the poor summer. But almost all the honey has had to be left for them to eat for this coming winter. They deserve it though. Fascinating creatures and so clever.
Enough with the poisons already!
nobees no life
Poisons that kill insects will kill us. Anyone who has learned about Integrated Pest Management knows this or should. We're in a new century, we should know better.
we need the honey BEE'S SAVE THEM!!!
We need all the bees we can get.
lol ... like the dolphins.
Please Please everyone read this.
Many of us fought to have a ban in the Uk and Europe. We supposedly won. But the ban is a total sham.
The ‘ban’ doesn’t come into force until December. By then most if not all farmers will have purchased their chemical coated seeds for next year.
They are only banning 3 of the neonicotinoids. There are others, which will not be banned.
They are only being banned from using on pollinating plants, so will still be used on other crops, meaning that there...
They are only being banned from using on pollinating plants, so will still be used on other crops, meaning that there will continue to be residues on the land. And it is not known how long residues last for.
There is no ban on all the other insecticides, which may also be having a detrimental effect on all bees and other pollinating insects.
New studies show that not only are bees are being affected, but hoverflies and lacewings too. So the notion by many folk that there are other insects, which can go on pollinating, is false.
We have had the most amazing apple blossom this year, yet very few bees working it – one or two here and there. The same with comfrey, which would normally be humming with bumble bees. We in the Uk have had a very long winter, and still a cool spring. Indeed, the coldest spring in 50 years. This has undoubtedly has had a serious effect on bee populations of all kinds. Undoubtedly too, they have been weakened by chemicals.
Think about it seriously. Insecticides do that – kill insects! So...
Think about it seriously. Insecticides do that – kill insects! So what can we expect – dead bees, dead hoverflies, dead lacewings….. all for the sake of money and power.
The same people are pushing to ban all seeds that are not controlled by Monsanto and the other chemical industries, so that we have to use their genetically modified seeds, which will only grow by using their chemicals.
The same people who are trying to ban the use of homeopathy, herbs and other forms of natural healing, so that we are all hooked on to their drugs.
Part three: Please, everyone wake up to what is happening. These multinational companies are after world domination and politicians are falling over backwards to oblige.
So true.. we are not talking politics, but life as we know it.
befor its too late if it already isn't!!
pitty its only us saying stop, our com sold us out years ago,id love to say enjoy the ride ,but i know we will not.
Yes It is a case of tunnel vision with some of the bureaucrats. There is no thought about the wider implications.
thank you all for your responses, i have only found them as only John's was fed back to me. I am a member of the Wedmore Green Group here in England, and we lean on our 'poly-tishons' (oh, a species of parrot!!!!!!!!). perhaps you have local pressure groups you can work with, or join to help the cause. Or even start one yourselves. Just a thought. You can look up our website and get ideas. i wish you all well. melvyn ps i will be happy to hear from you.
let God be the first then lest follow.
Even god needs help lest why pray so much
So that god know that his believers are faithful.
thats the fact but God is knows everything and you have to get the help from Him all the time but try to remember that GOD help those who help themselves and who believe in him
THAT'S TRUE @ Reiman
thanks to all for your reply but am so sorry for the late response to them
Help save the bees!!! We need them.

Save the bees. We need to live
save the bees
In order to save the bees we must stop Monsano from manufacturing and using NEORVICOTINOID AS WELL AS THE NEWER SULFOXAFLOR BY DOW
We have to stop using all, I mean all, the poisons that are being used in agriculture. They are destroying usefull insects, disrupting the food chain, poisoning all living beings, including us. The change will not come from above, because above, all they can think of is money. We have to bee the change. We have to buy organic, buy organic, buy organic. If their poisoned foods don't sell anymore, they'll have to do something about it.
Have you seen the list of 180-some "acceptable" chemicals applied to "organic" foods???? The term organic has been manipulated and abused until it means little to nothing.
Right now, am suffering from bacterial influenza...why is everything turning bacterial all of a sudden...even hiccups( ha ha0 we need to be rid of pesticides......find another way that's not so dangerous to health of one and all...
amen sister xxx the old ways are the best ways
Hope you feel better soon. Sending hugs.
Bees are cool. We need them more than they need us. In fact they don't need us at all...
very timely.. im just reading a douglas coupland book set in the very near future, where the bees are totally finito. the implications of this are kinda terrifying, its really unsettling to read!
I have a bee hive. In my wall. Above my bed. I have to defend my bee hive against a succession of neighbours that live in the rental house next door. I explain to them how important bees are to my vege patch... suddenly they start thinking bees are good instead of bees might sting me or my kids... but I have to EXPLAIN that every time.
