I have tried, during the last few years, to grow more 'bee-friendly' flowering plants, and saw some bees during this last disastrous summer, despite the rain.

Well done you Sylvia - our bees seem to be thriving despite the poor summer. But almost all the honey has had to be left for them to eat for this coming winter. They deserve it though. Fascinating creatures and so clever.

I am concerned as I live outside of Vancouver, B.C. and have found dead bees in our yard? We do not use any pesticides at all....I will not allow it in my yard period! This is frightening!
