Did not have an opportunity this summer... but a few years back, a stray cat was out in the cold and so mistreated by the people in the neighborhood, and I took him in because he was so hungry, and fed him/.
and he was sneezing, the cat was so sick with a cold! He would not move from his space when I took him in. My cat, Diamond just went on about his business, and the cat was just happy to be in from the cold.
I took him to the Animal Shelter (I carried him there) so that he could get the right and proper care that he.
needed.

While in Romania we adopted a stray puppy who was maybe 3 weeks old. She is now and has been part of our family and traveled back to the U.S. with us as an "emigrant" of sorts, along with our other dog that is also an "emigrant." Both are doing fine and have adapted well.

June 1oth of this year I came accross a snapping turtle that was hit in the head by a car. She is believed to be about 50 years old. Probablly trying to lay her eggs in the gravel next to the road. I brought her to my vet and after some carefull injections and love, only on my part, I turned her free back into her pond. I hope to have a turtle crossing sign up by May of next year so all will watch for her.

In 2010 I found a stray black cat and started to feed her outside in the fall. Just before Christmas the same year, she came into my apartment unit and never left. February 8, 2011, she gave birth to FIVE healthy kittens...4 boys and 1 girl. Because I took Sweetie in and looked after her and the kittens, the Humane Society only charged me $125 to spay, vaccinate, give a rabies shot to and micro-chipped her. Within one month of the kittens being ready for adoption all FIVE kittens had...

Sweetie is now 3 and the kittens are 2.
