It is a sad day for all of us when something as cruel & insidious as this is even deemed art. It makes me sick to my stomach......
Why didn't anybody call the SPCA or the Humane Society? This is a crime!
They could have had a living exhibit.
I thought they were trying to get them saved
I think he is lying...$3000 is a huge amt. of money for 2 animals destined for slaughter...
Perhaps we are not angry at the right people here. They took two mules who were destined for slaughter--which is a dreadful way to die, and humanely put them down (not euthanized since that is only for injured or terminally ill animals). It does seem a huge betrayal to two animals who have given their lives in service. However, I would think that whomever sent these two to the auction in the first place, knowing that they wouldn't be sold to good homes at their age, is the one who needs to be chastised.
How sick typically American.
A Very Sad day for mankind.
I hate cruelty due animals ...
dept of agriculture museum, this selfish jerks , what kind of governing board would vote to do this. I do hope this museum loses funding.
Talk to the 'artsy" folks too, they're 'art" transcends mere mortals like those of us who protect animals. Don't count on the museum losing their funding unless we can get PEYA to follow-up!
If they had ate them instead would anyone have cared?
