Every voice counts!
Save Princess Vlei. It's an important wetland and accessible to folk on the Cape Flats, where they can enjoy the natural elements and beauty of an important historical site.
You "hit the nail on the head"... with the words.." it is an important wetland"! So true, but big business seem to forget what is important and only think of their profits!
I signed this petition..
Signed in hope that a decision allowing short-term material profit will be seen for what it is - human greed and stupidity.
we lost a beautiful wetland in Tongaat which is now stadium garage.
A mall/building can be built anywhere but once a wetland is destroyed it can never be recovered.
We must all do what we can to save Princess Vlei from becoming another tarmaced and concreted desolation. It's one of the peninsula's last remaining natural assets, and great work is being done to restore the biodiversity. For the sake of our long-term environmental heritage, please join the petition group and add your voice.
Save Princess Vlei from Pick & Pay.
Well, the Premier has shares at PnP...and she has made it clear that she WILL advance her interests...and not ours, as she claims...
That's for sure. Pick & Pay before the citizens.
I like this petition and support the cause, but I am unfortunately no longer a 'citizen otf Cape Town'. As that is at top of the petition, surely one should be a Capetonian to sign it?
Janet, this cause is about the conservation of wetlands whether in Cape Town or Timbuktu. Can you please sign the petition.
