Preserve what we have and build what we do not conservatively. We have have a future to protect so that they will look back at us in love, not hate.

Why can't the City of Cape Town turn OUR PRINCESS VLEI into a beautiful urban park like Green Point Park? So that the coloured communities can also have a place to run, walk, relax in nature, riide bikes, take our kids too... Stop killing our planet by creating another concrete jungle - we don't need another mall! We have a NEW Blue Route Mall up the road. Leave the little bit of beauty we have in our area ALONE! Please. We grew up there, it's part of our history....

We actually don't NEED more malls - what for? to sell us things we don't need, that usually fall apartbreak or disappoint us in other ways. But particularly we don't need a mall on a precious wetland Princess Vlei.

THERE ARE QUITE ENOUGH MALLS IN CAPETOWN ALREADY.

Preserve natural habitats. How much shopping do we need to do? Malls only have big chain stores anyway, not small traders.

Come Cape Town, show us that you're environmentally conscious and aware (and that it isn't just lip speak) - leave the vlei! We need green spaces, NOT more shopping malls...

When it's gone it's gone. No cloning available...nothing. Too many people in the world, too big an unsustainable footprint. We need a near extinction event!

Why would anyone destroy something that belongs to everybody, just for the money? A beautiful piece of nature destroyed for money.

I think that if we, the public, can shout loud enough we will be heard. It`s going to be up to the citizens of SA to make a stand on all issues that we feel are important. The local tv ad that`s running at the moment where the wise elderly man is telling the children about the legend of the elephant`s trunk and they look at him and say "A what?" That makes me think that we need to protect what we`ve got.
