The slaughter of dolphins at Taiji needs to stop. Many Japanese don't even know that this is going on, because it's been kept under wraps for too long. these are the ignorant, brutal actions of a few, and it's up to us to shine the light of truth on this, so it can stop.

We NEED modern Japanese to help this cause. This isn't about framing a nation's people as evil or barbaric. Every country has its barbarians. Hate just gets more hate in return. Rather, we need to appeal to modern Japanese animal lovers who will contribute their voices to make change within their own nation. They [Japan's own] will have the most impact on their Government policy makers. I am starting a project to get this rolling, who wants to join me? I am NOT interested in spreading...

Only take what you need, that's what the ancients did, not slaughter many for no reason! Sending out a whole lot of healing for the dolphins.... and the humans who somehow believe they need to continue this barbarinism <3.

To some extent I can understand hunting and killing creatures like sharks because they pose a risk to humans, but dolphins are beautiful, peaceful creatures. To hunt and slaughter them with such inhumanity is an atrocity, not dissimilar to the systematic killing of innocent humans. Japan - this is disgusting. Get a new sport!

No, I don't think in the Same way like you! Also sharks are very, very important for the ocean - and also for us! Think, how much people are killed by cars and humans - and how less of sharks! That's only "movie-making fear"!

Nicoila Saad - You’re completely wrong !!! Sharks are the most important animals for the ocean. They keep the balance with other predators and keep the oceans clean. 2 Million sharks are killed by humans every year and the populations are dwindled don to 80 percent nowadays. If the sharks dies - the ocean dies !!!
Who cares about this 4 to 6 deadly accidents with shark every year . Think, how much people are killed by cars and humans - better start hunting humans they are much more danger than sharks

Kurt Amsler That's right. Have you had any great whites knocking on your door wanting to eat you? NO. And they won't because they are a marine animal and are content to stay where they belong. So should you.

@ Nicola Saad.So you think it's ok to kill anything that constitutes a threat to humans? I see you are a chaplain. Has this moronic view have anything to do with dominion in the bible, or are you just a selfish ignorant arsehole? The greatest threat to humans is other humans, especially the religious ones like you, because they are delusional halfwits to begin with believing that garbage.

Maybe we should hunt the people that pose a danger to the sharks.I like to go fishing but all the fish I catch I eat and I stay within the legal limits. If I were to get bit by a shark then my fault. You are in there environment.Have you seen what they already do to sharks???? they cut their fins off and toss the rest back in the water!!! senseless!!! Pretty soon there wont be any animals left to hunt or eat, so people will have to start eating each other!!

Dolphins are not this perfect innocent creatures everyone wants to believe they are,
Most harbour porpoises found dead on the north-east coast of Scotland show signs of attack by sympatric bottlenose dolphins, but the reason(s) for these violent interactions remain(s) unclear. Post-mortem examinations of stranded bottlenose dolphins indicate that ¢ve out of eight young calves from this same area were also killed by bottlenose dolphins. These data, together with direct observations of an aggressive interaction between an adult bottlenose dolphin and a dead bottlenose dolphin calf, provide strong evidence for infanticide in this population. The similarity in the size range of harbour porpoises and dolphin calves that showed signs of attack by bottlenose dolphins suggests that previously reported interspeci¢c interactions could be related to this infanticidal behaviour. These findings appear to provide the first evidence of infanticide in cetaceans (whales, dolphins and porpoises). We suggest that infanticide must be considered as a factor shaping sociality in this and other species of cetaceans, and may have serious consequences for the viability of small populations.

The slaughter of our Beloved Dolphins must be stopped now. You are murdering intelligent beings. Their screams will be heard all over the world. I will encourage everyone I know to ban Japanese restauants, alcohol and anything to do with Japan. Your Country does not need the Dolphins. It's slaughter for the sake of opportunist people. I can hear them now!
