Boycott Monsanto!

Melinda Robinson

GMOs are in more than you realize, and some organic foods? Well, they're simply organic GMOs, nothing more. Almost all corn, at least in the USA, has been genetically modified for many, many years but you can find organically grown GMO corn. And people who rely on SNAP benefits in order to eat -- the disabled, children, the elderly, the working poor... in other words, people like my family and I -- cannot afford to take this pledge. I'd love to cut it from our diets, but we'd starve if I did.

Be informed about the harms of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's). They are detrimental to all living things and threaten biodiversity. Who is behind these organisms? Monsanto Corporation: a for profit and not for planet chemical company; they grow stronger through suing small small farmers and lobbying congress. Be part of the solution: support your local organic farmers and vote to label GMO's. Stand up and be heard!

I think it needs to be stopped entirely. I already try to avoid it as much as is possible.

I was educated about GMOs in a grocery store aisle about a year ago. A woman reached out to spread the word on GMO foods. She was even prepared for this, she had handouts and a pamphlet listing non gmo companies! I studied up and my grocery shoping took much longer for two months, because I read Every label for GMO suspected ingredients. Wish ALL foods needed a label stating they are not GMO conscious company. Proud to say we have been carefully choosing products, but are a GMO free family...

Wish the task was easier in the begining though. Labels would be a start. BANNING GMO in the US would be better. Thanks
