When I lived in Pennsylvania as a child, our neighbors died of Black Lung Disease. The fact that this continues is a disgrace.

My Grandfather died of "Black lung" back in 1953 after spending over 30 years in coal mines in Iowa. I don't think they called it that back then but, it was a horrible way to die.

Have you ever stopped for a minute and asked your self, why do coal miners die? Think about the real reason.
For me, is this one of the main reasons. It is pure Negligence and Not Caring. Who really cares in the coal.
regions. The coal companies care about one thing the mining and selling of the product coal, to make a profit.
The second reason is that the so named federal agency, that is responsible for their protection fails to do exactly that, protect them. And again comes the question....

Then take part and sign the petition, make them give guarantees for the safety and protection of all coal miners.

Coal miners definitely need a change. They are very hard workers. My dad was a coal miner who worked in the coal mine for 36 years and died from black lung at 54 years old. He died 10 months shy of his retirement age and my mom not receiving any of his benefits.Makes me sick for all the hard years he put in as a coal miner, and for my mom also for all of the hard years she put in the workforce and taking care of us. They both worked very hard for all of us kids with nothing to enjoy...
