God bless those guys! Our nation needs coal and we have plenty of it. I'm curious as to why they don't wear masks? Or do they?
My dad , My grandfathers, uncles were coal miners. I don't recall dad ever wearing a mask, but that doesn't mean he didn't and certainly doesn't mean they don't now. I am like you, It seems they could. I just remember seeing only the whites of his eyes so many times. My dad also had black lung. But he started working in a coal mines at 9 years old, making .25cents a day... A lot has changed since then.
I loss my Grandfather to Black Lung disease. So Please Help with this, My Grandfather was a very hard worker besides being a farmer, he also was a Coal Miner...

pls cool yoyr mind, +918233888800.
I have lung problems and know how it feels not to be able to function normally. I chemically burned my lungs when I was 24yrs. old cleaning house with ammonia spray cleaner. I now have C.O.P.D. and on oxygen 24hrs. a day. The government should have more saftey rules for people that risk their lives every day going down into those mines.
My father was a miner and now suffers from emphysema...its horrible to watch your dad struggling to breath.
It is time to close the loopholes that have allowed the numbers of those inflicted as well as those who die to increase! Hold them accountable and stop allowing them to lobby favors that kill people for profit/gain!
Let them tell us what they are going to use to replace the miners. There is no replacement. They deserve all that can be given to protect, enhance, and ensure a good life.
Let the ones denying the benefits take the time to work for one week in place of the workers risking their very lives for pieces of friggin coal. Prove there are no risks and after your time in the mines see if you still feel the same way. Dumbass profiteers with the death of thousands makes that blood money you are profiting with.
My grandfather was a coal miner and had black lung.
In this day and age NO MAN should work in a mine if there is NO HEALTH & SAFETY this is 2012 Wake up , Pure Greed & Profit comes before Human Life.
When I lived in Pennsylvania as a child, our neighbors died of Black Lung Disease. The fact that this continues is a disgrace.
