so if he loses job cause of this does that mean if a human body was on the tracks n he done the same thing that he'd lose his job? I think not he'd be rewarded so same rule should apply to this!
init!! raiway shud be prosecuted 4 wantin dog harmed!!
so next time leave a dog on the lines watch it be run over and see the holdups that ensue whilst they stop the train clear the lines and make it "safe" to travel onwards, it takes hours! if you jobsworths don't care about the dog, think about the hassels he saved you by moving it!
this ia absolutely ridiculous... Ive just signed it. What is the world coming to!? :/ x
a long time ago when i worked on a farm at eastburn and some sheep got on the railway line british rail would not stop the train for sheep just advice the train driver that there was sheep on the line .......to which they had better stop the train as we was going on the track to get them off ...........it is not a nice site to see dead sheep and cows on railway lines
Doggism should be a crime! Shun all Doggists!
Well I'm sorry but they're just not like the rest of us. They take our jobs, I mean people could guide blind people, herd sheep etc during these hard times. They can't speak English and they breed with their own families. They also eat their own kack....
I'm a Doggist and I'm proud. Cats are much better anyway.
How is this guy going to lose his job for saving a dog?
Maybe because he didn't state on his application that he actually has a heart.
What in hell is the matter with people these days!?

As a Rapid Response Vehicle Paramedic I was disciplined several months ago for transporting a critically injured dog and his owner, to the vets in my response car on blue lights. The man was begging for help and I had seen the accident happen. Technically yes, I broke the law because I acted without thinking and used an emergency response vehicle on blue lights. However, our superiors in whatever employment need to remember that their staff are only human. Yes, rules are there to protect everyone but at times our humanity means that sometimes we have to step outside these rules in order to save a life (human or otherwise). If not, our 'humanity' is lost and what are we then?
Well put kid!!
totally and utterly agree.... a life is a life if you are in a position and you are availiable to help..you do all you can otherwise humanity is lost. xx
How many really safety concious and level-headed people have lost their careers/jobs because of this stupid self justifiing hidden tool called HSE? It beggars belief!
Used to be a veggie as well-thanks for that Debbie-Jane really liked that!
No oops-you're wicked Deb!
These health and safety cretins need to be tied to a railway track and trains run up as close to their wretched heads as can be judged almost safe. They then need to be paraded through the streets in dunces caps and pelted with excrement. Who are these repulsive creatures?
your right of course my self I wear what Im comfertable in and use a bit of common sense sometimes , the other day I whent to look at a truck driving job a pole hanging 2 foot over back of trailor a knackerd tyre is there any wonder health and saftey got a look in with idiots like this?
Kevin Hague yep different story of course but sometimes they just go fukn overboard, sick to death of being mollycoddled by governement, they should
KEEP THE FUK out of my personal life !!!
The company should be ashamed of them selves to treat a loyal compassionate employee in this manor and I for one will boycott Southern Rail they are barbaric.
Tom should be commended for saving this dog's life not possibly lose his job.
Well done Tom.
