Tom showed compassion and love when he rescued this dog. Tom showed value for life and his actions should be applauded. God created ALL life and we should do our best to honor it as He would. This world would be a much better place if there were more people like this!

Allow this man a chance! If it was a human, not a dog, would he still be suspended/fired? Kindess is Kindness and should be commended!

He deserves a commendation as a devoted employee who showed that he cared for life too as part of his job. Southern Rail should be ashamed of their behaviour.

This man needs praise...and recognition from his employer for being a stellar citizen and a employee every organization would be proud to have......instead he may lose his job.....

This man should be considered a revered employee...and one whom any employer should be proud to have on their team....these kinds of people are a rare breed and his actions should be applauded, not punished....he is such an asset to your company...

As an animal lover and "mommy" to a rescue dog that I adore, I would hope and pray that a man such as Tom would be there if my beloved dog needed help and I WASN'T there...the possible suspension of this kind-hearted man is an abomination and indicative of the harsh and uncaring world in which we live.

Love and compassion are praiseworthy traits in a person and should be nurtured in a
society that tends to turn the other cheek.

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard - way to go Tom!
