Last winter we had to have our friend and companion Molly euthanized. She was 9 1/2 years old and I found her when she was 6 at the Shelter after my hubby, Jim had lost his girl, Lightning. Molly came to the "Shelter" because her guardian surrendered his own life. He made sure Molly had food, water and a clean blanket to lay on. At the Shelter she was very lonesome and depressed. She wondered if anyone would ever come for her. We went for a walk and I found her to be very friendly and gentle, but sad. I asked the manager if I could foster Molly and let her get to know me. I knew I wanted her, but I didn't know if she would be happy with me. When it was time for Molly and me to leave she followed me to my truck and as soon as I opened the door she jumped in and sat on the seat, looking at me like, "come on let's get going." When we arrived home, Molly wasted no time in finding her place to call her own, "Jim's chair." We who also live here call it "The Archie Bunker Chair". Molly took it over, but every time Jim left it, there was Molly. She even worked her way into Jim's heart and became his lap dog. I adopted Molly, but really she wanted to be Jim's girl. Please join with Jim & me in support of this worthy cause!

Why don't you use some of the money to allow people who can't afford the adoption fee to have a pet by spade and neutering them free and have up to date shots, and instead let them volunteer a day to the shelter to help with the animals and take one home. This way you get more help and more animals get to live. I'm on SSI and would love to rescue more animals but I have three I rescued 1 from the shelter and one kitten from the streets and a dog that no one wanted and I do without just so...

I'm on SSI and would love to rescue more animals but I have three I rescued 1 from the shelter and one kitten from the streets and a dog that no one wanted and I do without just so I can feed them but what choice do I have? I want ever eat again before I would take them to a shelter. My point is even on a small income we can find a way to feed a pet and in return we are loved and find companion.
