Drugs are dangerous, and should be taken only as a last resort, when other cures have failed, or there is a true medical emergency or true urgent need. Taking prescription drugs involves a calculated risk. No prescription drug is 100% safe to take, and anyone who tells you so is lying. Let the buyer beware. Drug companies should not play fast and loose with the public health and safety. I support lawsuits as a way to send an important message to those industries, and large corporations who would abuse and victimize the public.

Maybe then the gullible public that still believe in the "pill solution" will wake up!

Too often corporations are treated like a single entity...we need to remember that they are made up of individuals who are individually accountable for their actions and in-actions. If we form a corporation and get together and decide to use poison to kill someone - do you think we should get off?

The Gov. and the Pharmaceutical company's go hand in hand! Money goes from one of their hands into the other! Therefore this will always be a problem!

I am tired of how long it takes for a drug to go generic. I have been taking Singulair for close to 15 years. It is FINALLY going generic this month. I got asthma from permanent damage to my lungs from Legionnaire's Disease. I am doing quite well now, but it's hard to get asthma as an adult. I didn't use my rescue inhaler soon enough and ended-up in the ER WAY too much. I finally got my own nebulizer, so then I didn't need to go to the ER for breathing treatments. I was on Advair for a few years, then it was discovered that there are many risks to using Advair. I now use Asmanex, I puff twice a day, and one Singulair at bedtime. My asthma is now very much under control. I have flare-ups when I get sick sometimes and have to do breathing treatments and take prednisone for 1-3 weeks, depending on how bad, but I haven't had a hospital admission for pneumonia in years. I've been able to treat it at home. Sometimes I have to have an oxygen machine for a few weeks to a few months, but even that has been awhile. I SO hate it when I find out ANY drug has been found to be unsafe. I thought they did drug trials to see that it was safe before the FDA was supposed to approve it. My doctor took me off of Advair IMNEDIATELY.

They all disgust me. They make appointments to be arrested and such. They come in their private cars and I've yet to see one get crammed into the back of a REAL police car, not some luxury sedan. You can also easily view, by buying this local rag, the mugshots and mistakes of just about everyone in tri-state area, I think it's called "Busted" or something. It is sad to see someone with a stupid traffic ticket who didn't show to court date, instead of being recited, no they arrest them, print...

You can also easily view, by buying this local rag, the mugshots and mistakes of just about everyone in tri-state area, I think it's called "Busted" or something. It is sad to see someone with a stupid traffic ticket who didn't show to court date, instead of being recited, no they arrest them, print and process them, then allow horrible photos of something very embarrassing and the world gets the foto and arrest information. These people on Drug Street, Wall Street, Corporation Street, you name the street, etc., they get a damn Perrier and a Valium too I bet, especially if they have a good attorney. Off topic but close to it was the recent ONE DAY job of a CEO of I believe Duke Energy who pocketed 40 million or billion. I do not recall at all for sure but I'm sure a Google will find this. He worked ONE day as CEO and walked away with that much money, meanwhile my Mother has to take a monthly stipend instead of getting a lump sum payment of less than $30K for her dead husbands 401K and investments even though Duke sent her the papers for a lump sum, then gave 4 more excuses why she couldn't have it and after a YEAR of fighting they weren't even going to give her the monthly payments from the date he passed but after the date of the meeting they were having RIGHT WHEN I CALLED with the LAWYERS in TOW. I merely said, I will use every media resource there is to find someone who will look into this matter, she deserves the lump sum and you know why you only want to give a monthly check of around $200, because you know she won't live long enough for the full payout. It is simple math. So my Mom suffers, fighting for what he husband worked for and wanted her to have. Moreover, if it then passed to a child perhaps until paid off, that would also be different, but it dies when the spouse dies and they keep the dough. Meanwhile, a one day piece of work I know got him at least $40 million, I am saying billion but only as a guess. You can bet he got this money plus all kinds of perks, etc. I'm sorry but everyone else works a job ONE day and doesn't cut it, get's fired with a "Good Luck" a check for the day and if in management, perhaps even a few days pay....but this is disgusting. And we wonder why it's all a mess? Ok I will shut up now. My diatribe is concluded. Joseph K - Cincinnati, Ohio.

Slap their hand good with a big enough fine that they won't laugh at us. There is big money made on these RX, and they feel they can make more money than the fine, and get away with it.

I worked for the largest pharmaceutical conglomerate in the world...now I see all the warnings "if you took this drug while pregnant....."" Let's start putting the money where we need it, pharmaceutical inspectors, our FOOD industry, CAFOs, more inspectors, less talk about it then doing nothing.....and do something. That's why my friend Greg Wells grows or hunts everything they eat...Ïf you know where it came from, it's a lot easier to swallow""....
