This is a hoity toity part of town where they think they are better than everyone else so I am not surprised at their tactics. I support you completely, keep up the good fight and they will eventually break down. Only buy pet supplies from companies like Petsmart and Petco which put adoption first.

Its not in Chelsea, that is incorrect, the store is in the west village.

excuse, they are both in the west village and in chelsea, they have 2 stores. google youtube for the CAPS investigation of puppy mills and see how the dogs that this store sells are bred, and you will be horrified. Gotta see the hillbillies that run these puppy mills. One guy says he would rather shoot the dogs than improve conditions!!!!

Millions of dogs are dying across the United States each year for lack of homes (and cats too!) There are no need for large scale breeders!!! They breed sick animals and people I know that have purchased small dogs in pet stores end up spending hundreds of dollars on dogs with genetic diseases caused by inbreeding.

If these stores would dedicate the time to the shelter pups, we would be in a lot better shape. The prices they sell these dogs for are insane. If just a little bit of that went back to the shelters and the dogs who needed it, we could cut back the numbers of dogs destroyed for no good reason by the thousands! I am all for this change, I cannot tell you how many puppy mill stores I have left crying because of the condition those dogs.. And also just thinking of what 1200 dollars could do at a shelter..

Well they buy the breeders dogs and have to find a way to make a profit off of that. I personally believe, people should stop breeding. My sister used to and has stopped because her heart is breaking like mine seeing all the dogs dying in shelters everyday. I will always believe in rescuing shelter pups and rescue pups. They have the best stories.

They do sometimes... the ones they cant sell to public they sell to puppy stores. I wouldn't say a alot do, but they do. Puppy mills are the problem, I didn't say they weren't. I just think people could focus on saving the dogs that are facing immediate death, not making more.

I think those dogs still have more chances to live than in shelters, where they mostly ended in gas chambers / being euthanized!

All coments are very wise. Justice is needed and action on the spot. Is about time those who make money on the back of animals need to pay...and in order this to happen we need the state, authorities, consumers to be enlighten. Another way is to raise awareness on all levels, International, national and local. The more action the better the results.
