This is a hoity toity part of town where they think they are better than everyone else so I am not surprised at their tactics. I support you completely, keep up the good fight and they will eventually break down. Only buy pet supplies from companies like Petsmart and Petco which put adoption first.
STOP PUPPY MILLS!
Its not in Chelsea, that is incorrect, the store is in the west village.
excuse, they are both in the west village and in chelsea, they have 2 stores. google youtube for the CAPS investigation of puppy mills and see how the dogs that this store sells are bred, and you will be horrified. Gotta see the hillbillies that run these puppy mills. One guy says he would rather shoot the dogs than improve conditions!!!!
Millions of dogs are dying across the United States each year for lack of homes (and cats too!) There are no need for large scale breeders!!! They breed sick animals and people I know that have purchased small dogs in pet stores end up spending hundreds of dollars on dogs with genetic diseases caused by inbreeding.
It doesn't matter where these vile places are or the sorts of people that live in the area.........SHUT the awful places down PERMANENTLY!
That is a shocking statement made by that AWFUL man...Ooppss sub-human I mean....I agree totally with your opinion Judy...
If these stores would dedicate the time to the shelter pups, we would be in a lot better shape. The prices they sell these dogs for are insane. If just a little bit of that went back to the shelters and the dogs who needed it, we could cut back the numbers of dogs destroyed for no good reason by the thousands! I am all for this change, I cannot tell you how many puppy mill stores I have left crying because of the condition those dogs.. And also just thinking of what 1200 dollars could do at a shelter..
Adopt, adopt, adopt.
Well they buy the breeders dogs and have to find a way to make a profit off of that. I personally believe, people should stop breeding. My sister used to and has stopped because her heart is breaking like mine seeing all the dogs dying in shelters everyday. I will always believe in rescuing shelter pups and rescue pups. They have the best stories.
They do sometimes... the ones they cant sell to public they sell to puppy stores. I wouldn't say a alot do, but they do. Puppy mills are the problem, I didn't say they weren't. I just think people could focus on saving the dogs that are facing immediate death, not making more.
I think those dogs still have more chances to live than in shelters, where they mostly ended in gas chambers / being euthanized!
This is a fact right ???
i speak for the rights of those unable to. we have to speak out about neutering ans spaying.
My email to Citipups:
To Whom it May Concern:
Your business is a sham. You sell puppies from Puppy Mills; I have seen the evidence, I have witnessed the puppies. You are absolutely ridiculous and I hope you get shut down soon.
I fully support all protestors outside your store, and will continue to do so. The word will be sent out, and it serves you right that Ms. Cruise and Suri didn't purchase one of your puppies! I bet they'll adopt/rescue instead!
Sincerely, and with little respect,
Absolutely love this! Good job!!
Many of you know that my Lola was rescued from a Puppy Mill by Stonecliffe Animal Rescue nearly 10 years ago. To date, she has many challenges -- hips, front legs, bowels, personality -- Puppy Millers make money off the backs of uninformed clients who then deal with years of health issues for their beloved pets. Do NOT support pet stores that sell puppies! Adopt from a local rescue or shelter. You will be saving lives! <3
I've been participating in peaceful protests at the store, and we need more folks to join, so please do!
You can make lots of money selling pet food and supplies, it is a multi Billion dollar industry. Selling puppies is on it's way out. Please stop, it's not the right thing to do, turn into an adoption facility.
STOP PUPPY MILLS
It's sad, I hate to hear about puppy mills because we had one around the corner from me. I knew the workers and after it closed down, they told me he used to dispose of the sick puppies that he couldn't afford to treat. Glad they're closed.
Well, I guess it was the bad pet store owner but he sold the puppies from the mills
