What motivation do you think exists for health care providers to encourage or promote a healthy population when their sole source of revenue and profit is the result of sick people and return customers; My suggestion Vitamins/Minerals Eat less Eat Better and grow your own food and meat when able and neither depend on nor trust the Government to take care of you try doing it yourself.

These are unregulated, mostly for profit hospitals. Has nothing to do with the government which has been encouraging growing your own food, and helping people get seeds and know how to do it.

No, I will not sign it. You don't want it, don't order it. I agree with Brian if someone is on their death bed they should be able to have a burger and fries. People need to stop trying to take away our right to choose what we want. Worry about your own life.

no one is taking your right, but at the same time at a Hospital serving bad food is not good for the patient. if a hospital is gonna serve food their options have to follow health guidelines otherwise whats the purpose. oh yeah i forgot everyone is looking for some magic fix it pill.

No, I will not sign this... I mean, for the love of God if I were in the hospital on my death bed, I'd want a last cheeseburger before I died!

My hope would be that you would have a kind friend or family member who'd go to McDonald's or Burger King or wherever you'd want it from and get it for you.

If you were on your death bed, would your family want to leave knowing you could die, literally, any time? I know I would be hesitant to leave.

What they should at least do is have fresh organic food readily available in hospitals. While I'm healling in a hospital of an accident or an injury, I better have my organic meals there to help me heal faster.

Well the government can't afford something like this, but somehow can afford to give billions in bailouts to already rich big banks such as the likes of Goldman Sachs? Hmmm.

I never could understand why a school or hopital would offer unhealthy foods.

to be completely honest i agree, but most schools do offer options to parents for their children not to be served the junk they have for sale. you can simply inform the school cafeteria that they are not aloud to purchase additional snacks or certain junk and it will not be on the list of options for them to choose from when they get to the register. which is where they almost always keep all the most unhealthy stuff. on a further note i have been to several hospital cafeterias and they have...

to be completely honest i agree, but most schools do offer options to parents for their children not to be served the junk they have for sale. you can simply inform the school cafeteria that they are not aloud to purchase additional snacks or certain junk and it will not be on the list of options for them to choose from when they get to the register. which is where they almost always keep all the most unhealthy stuff. on a further note i have been to several hospital cafeterias and they have always had many very fresh and plentiful healthy food choices, but it was explained to me like this: it's a business like any other and as unappealing as it might seem to have unhealthy food in establishments such as these it is a person's choice to eat what they choose....not to have the choice made for them. so if there is a salad or veggie on the menu and you choose the burger and fries instead...they view it as your fault. as far as schools are concerned....they have to offer veggies and fruit and whole grains on their menu throughout the week but are not obligated to only offer those kinds of foods. they will still offer items such as pizza and french fries and burgers a couple times a week to satisfy the appetites of the pickier kids because according to them it's more important for them to eat while in school so they aren't hungry and they can focus and have the ability to learn while they are there. also...school lunch is OPTIONAL. if you want to completely control what your kids eat you can always pack them an assortment of healthy snacks from home that will keep them full and satisfied as well as yourself and not send them with any money for the lunch line. THEY DON'T HAVE TO EAT WHATEVER THE SCHOOL IS SERVING. :)
