know you do not live in Montana so its not a big issue with you. But would you have a different opinion if your livestock/ your livelihood and even pets were being killed by wolves? I think you might have a different opinion. Its easy to be outraged about something that has not direct effect on you. Choosing to oppose it would have an effect on Me and many of the ranchers that I know.

The time has come for the right to live of other noble species not be subordinate to the short term interest of humans. Wolf predation is at the bottom of the list for livestock losses, and ranchers are compensated by the BLM. The first cause is disease, second is accident and on and on. We live in an area rife with coyotes, they are a part of our community and culture. People are told to be responsible pet owners, and live in harmony with the local wildlife or live somewhere else. We live in an area rife with coyotes, they are a part of our community and culture. People are told to be responsible pet owners, and live in harmony with the local wildlife or live somewhere else. I lost one of my favorite cats to a coyote dinner. I was my fault, they have to eat too. Ranchers have had a free ride on public lands, and have been allowed to slaughter everything else. Those days are over. People like me will speak for those who cannot speak for themselves, and at some point attitudes and laws will change.

That is your right. As it is mine. Dont whine about the price of your beef and meat when it increases though!

If the American consumer has to pay more for their Big Macs to protect and restore an environment and it's wildlife inhabitants, then I say that is money well invested. God gave us a brain to do more with than just kill. I'm positive most ranchers can learn to live with the presence of wolves, and understand how invaluable the apex predators are to a healthy ecosystem. Yellowstone proved it.

Babette Gazarian-Cherne' If you want wolves than good! Put them in your back yard not mine. Why do I have to deal with them for a tourists yearly enjoyment?

There are other ways to "protect" your livestock rather than trapping wolves, that is a barbaric outdated method that should be legaly banned in all 50 states!! The wolves have to eat, that is a law of nature - so it's YOUR responsibility to keep YOUR livestock away from temptation, not fair to do anything else. I dont eat beef myself, or lamb, or pigs, so what it costs makes absolutely NO difference to me, just stop killing wolves, they are NOT the problem - your out moded antiquated way of behavior is though.

If wolves are around my livestock I will shoot them, quick painless one well placed shot. Raising livestock is how we make a meager living and we cannot afford to lose livestock to wolves. Do you have any idea how much work goes into what goes on your dinner table? Have you ever seen a wolf tear apart a baby calf or a pack of wolves tear open a defenseless cow???? Would you rather eat beef, pork, chicken etc. or would you like to eat a wolf. If the wolves get out of control and eat the...

Wolves hunting is a fact of life. It's nature!!! If you want to eliminate all predators you are very unrealistic. Pick another profession. Build high fences on your own land and stay off of public property.

*** It's so sad that the Human species being the most "smart" on the planet... is also the predator with less scruples! Kills for pleasure and sport! Invading the natural environment of the animals and when they try to survive... are massacred! I would like to collaborate much more than just words! My support 100% *** http://youtu.be/TEQnjKgp2hs.
