I completely agree. I know kids under 14 aren't "allowed" a profile but I know far too many kids under 14 with profiles on fb, it scares that hell out of me!

kids should not b on these sites older ones only if supervised by parents as people use the sites to prey on them....... my 9yr old grand daughter thinks I'm mean because I wont set one up for her... well she can "hate" me as much as she likes but NO WAY is SHE getting one.... :(~

She can't. My guess is she has her entire profile is on lockdown, set to private and she is the one doing the contacting and sending invites. She was able to find her through her son's b/c he had her on his friend's list. Most likely the predator found him, sent him the invite and he added. It's a shame she didn't just copy this woman's link and save it before unfriending her. I agree with the poster way up there, kids really shouldn't be on Facebook. If facebook is going to allow...

It's great that you are being very proactive about this one case, but the odds are that there are thousands more out there flying under the radar. The key is to teach your kids about the dangers of the Internet & monitor their actions.
