The Wild Coast is once again under threat, by the same AUSTRALIAN mining company as before! Whatever their plans, it won't benefit the people of South Africa, except for a select few in government. The locals would rather have sustainable eco-tourism in one of the most beautiful spots on earth than pie-in-the-sky short-term benefits from mining that will destroy their home!

It is vital that strip mining and the Toll road should be stopped in this are of Pondoland , for the environment and for the people who live there. I was there awhile back at a wedding, the people have a sustainable way of living which would be destroyed if these exploitations are allowed in practice. Please support this action and if possible give financial support...........

The Wild Coast and all that it stands for, from natural beauty, to a tight nit community, to a traditional homeland for so many, has to be preserved from mining, greed and corporate decision makers that have no regard for any of the above except financial gain. Its time to STOP, take a STAND and say NO NO NO! NO mining in the Wild Coast and think 1000 times again before even contemplating it.

Lets not forget what is fuelling the demand for resources..our own spend spending on more things. The miners are largely after the titanium in the dunes. Check out what that's used for and consider the real cost of buying those products!
