Sometimes in life you find a "true" win-win situation. Through education, participation and compassion, one can do a little something to help in creating a BIG something. So, for $35, I too can be a REBBL. Count me in...because I am "Not For Sale" all the way.

Take a look at ~ Not For Sale Campaign.org~ You know, there will always be people that will look for the negative, I was introduced to this movement when I was in Moss Beach..I wandered into one of their satellite stores and spoke with an intern. I did some research and liked what they represented. Hey, somebody out there is doing something and we all have a right to support what tugs at out moral fiber...dig a little deeper before making sarcastic statements on my wall..and even if you...

I would never write something so sarcastic on your wall about something you support..even if it seemed silly to me. I'm just not made that way.

Company Overview
Not For Sale creates tools that engage business, government, and grassroots in order to incubate and grow social enterprises to benefit enslaved and vulnerable communities.
General Information
There are at least 30 million people in slavery today. Most of these people are women and children. Many are forced into hard labor or prostitution against their will. Modern day slavery is more prominent and more of an issue than any other period of slavery in recorded history. There is slavery in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and nearly every country across the globe. The U.S. State Department estimates some 800,000 people are trafficked worldwide each year. More than 17,000 of those people end up in the U.S.

My experience in your Moss Beach store was great. I was staying at the Oceano and had a few hours to kill before an appt. with a realtor as I am considering relocating the the area. I saw the store front and was immediately drawn in, there was just something about the feel of the store, the items that were showcased and of course, your intern was very friendly and enthusiastic about Not For Sale. I wish I could remember her name...it was in May. So anyways, I had never heard of ~Not For...

So anyways, I had never heard of ~Not For Sale~, she explained to me the cause and it was to contribute to the end of Human trafficking. She told me of David Bastone, his background and then I researched a bit more and was impressed with his compassion and desire to do something after his experience re: the Restaurant in the Bay Area. I mean, lets face it...many would read the story about the women being trafficked in from India and forced to work under less then desirable conditions...but its another thing to do something about it. I also love the theory of "Empowering communities to seek their own dignified employment and break the cycle of exploitation." I purchased a terrific tee-shirt, a couple of bracelets and follow your fb page and try to spread the word. The Tee-shirt stops people in their tracks...love it! I have gone back to school, at Kent State University, to pursue a degree in Photo Journalism. I believe , whole heartily, that anyone at anytime can make a small contribution that can have a huge impact. And that's how i live my life. I would write more but i have to take an 8 year old Amish boy to his very first baseball game...:)

REBBL made it to Manila for the Asia Pacific Forum on Human Trafficking as an innovative solution -- Help us turn this into a reality not only for vulnerable communities in the Amazon but in SE Asia, Eastern Europe. Thanks in advance.

Steve, I would love to contribute to the strategy for this! I can see something like a starbucks coffee concept featuring various REBBL recipes from various countries.... also positioning it as a healthy alternative to the soda drinks (coke, pepsi, etc) that are destroying health all over the world. I could also see large companies like coca cola responding with their own products... but hey, that would be great for the people and countries producing these products.

I was thinking a lot of the Filipino local specialties that we talked about at the conference are actually great tea flavors - coconut, Palawan honey, malunggay, and mango. I see coconut and malunggay in particular in some of the most impoverished areas I work in, so it's easily found (and hence probably easily grown). REBBL Pinoy edition???

Just donated to REBBL today. This is a potentially game-changing idea that is looking to rebuild vulnerable communities in the Amazon through REBBL, which happens to be delicious. And if you donate $35 or more, you get a free 4-pack of it. So do it! http://www.causes.com/causes/597-not-for-sale/actions/1665183
