My daughter has had PTSD which is twice since she has been home and more people need to know that these men and women have given time and effort for our country and have seen and did things we only see in movies . We need to support them as much as we did when they were overseas. But people forget. As a Father I want my sweet daughter back . That will not happen . She was in a war and lost friends and there is nothing that can make this right
You are a brave mum one day your daughter may get better please don't give up hope. For I too sufferer from severe post traumatic stress slowly I'm getting myself better again takes time we need patent people kind people who try to undersdand us and not judge us so never give up on your daughter
YOU WOULDE, NT BE ON FACEBOOK OR HAVE THE FREEDOM YOU HAVE IF NOT FOR OUR TROOPS! WE DON, T GIVE THEM ENOUGH SUPPORT FOR THE COURAGE THEY HAVE GIVEN US!
signed and sent out invites
My father served in three wars, World War 1, World War 2, kand the Korean War. We need to give all of our up most respect for the soldiers who are serving our country and fighting for our freedom, so many have died for us....Honor all of our soldiers and veterans!
My grandfather served in the Navy during WWII, around the time of Iwo Jima. I never agreed with the idea of war in general, because of the toll that it takes on the people who defend our country. I never asked my grandfather about what he had to endure, I could see it on his face. I just want to see our troops come home.
Fair treatment is as important as good medical.Every veteran needs to see my home page at F.B. before you are the next cheatedvet.
no honor here. i can't believe people are so uninformed.
I am very sad right now, my co-worker, just returned from the war committed suicide, 24 years old, his funeral is tommorrow..
NEDD TO SUPPORT OUR TROOPS.
They Protect us-We Should Protect Them!
This is a MUST!
They should be treated better then anyone else they should be first always when serving and when they finished serving they should always be remember and not thrown away like they don't exits
These men and women risk their lives to protect our country. They deserve all of our support. My 2 boys go up to everyone they see in their uniforms and say "thank you for protecting our country." So to all of you service men and women, THANK YOU! FOR PROTECTING OUR COUNTRY!
PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION! 1
Common sense...tells us ALL-that this is THE LEAST we can do. Not just thank OUR fellow citizens for serving our country and protecting us, but not it’s OUR turn. They need for US- to serve and Protect THEM.
Please give the these men and women the support they so desperately need. They have left their families to protect this great Nation that we call America the Home of the Brave. Thanks to all our service men and women who serve our country. God Bless!
Mr. O does not care about veterans. I am in disbelief America re-elected him. We are getting what we asked for. For you Libs that vote for Dem's and Lib politics, when you wake up it will be too late. As a two-tour veteran of Vietnam, war is hell.
Thank you for your service, Jim. I remember the sixties..You guys deserved much more...
Paula Clark; Thank you for your nice comment. You don't look old enough to remember the 60s.
All Vets should be given the authorized medical treatement and attention required by Federal Law. Their Guard or Reserve status should have no bearing on their care for servce connected illness or injury.
this is so true wish they would do the right thing
Did I do this right? Signing the petition?
I say you DID Right any/or all the branches of service needs our help!!
I am a Marine Corp vet and I signed this petition. I did find some false information in your statement labeled Update 1 that needs to be clarified. " (Before a veteran can access services at the VA, they need a finding of disability.)" This is not true. Any vet can walk into any V.A. and go through the enrollment process, just take your DD214 to prove active duty service time in a war zone, you don't have to be disabled. With that said, be ready for Co-pays that are tied to your current...

Also, I would ask those that have posted so much support this Veteran's Day, to tell it to their Congressmen/Women and Senators because the V.A. is definitely understaffed and you may wait 3 months or more for your first appointment. Of course you can go to the E.R. and wait all day.
I like what you are doing. Semper FI!
Thanks for laying it out in more detail. I failed to mention that you have to spend 180 days in a war zone to qualify unless you have a service connected disability, which would definitely put a Veteran in the category that you mention since they would have to wait (sometimes years) for their Compensation and Pension claims to be processed...
I felt that if a young Veteran with no V.A experience read the article then they would think that they had to have a rating before going to the V.A., so now we have that cleared up.
we must stand behind them.
better yet, in front of them
