My daughter has had PTSD which is twice since she has been home and more people need to know that these men and women have given time and effort for our country and have seen and did things we only see in movies . We need to support them as much as we did when they were overseas. But people forget. As a Father I want my sweet daughter back . That will not happen . She was in a war and lost friends and there is nothing that can make this right

FEW THINGS THAT I SUPPORT ONE OF THEM BEING ASSOCIATED WITH THE MILITARY THOSE SERVING THIER FAMILIES , FRIENDS, NEIGHBORHOODS, MOST LIVE UNDER CONDITIONS THAT ONLY A FEW CAN TALK HONESTLY ABOUT THIER EXPERIENCES, HOPES & DESIRES. I'M ALL ABOUT THANKING OUR MILITARY FROM KEEPING OTHERS FROM HARMING US, IN WAYS YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE. THIER LIFE SUCKS OUR LIVES ROCK.

Our government in Britain spends fortunes on memorial plaques, statues of heroes, a huge occasion every year on Remembrance Sunday...when all the politicians and royals turn out in their finest to honour the fallen.......yet, there is no celebration of the living heroes of these wars they are sent in to fight on behalf of their country; the maimed, scarred, war-torn, traumatized and broken men who gave their all, but escaped with their lives. I'm guessing it's much the same in the U.S. It...

It is time we put the LIVING heroes at the top of the nation's agenda, in Britain as well as the USA.....It's right we should remember the dead, but we cannot help them now. It's right that we should remember the victories of war, but we must also remember the soldiers who returned from those victories. We should remember their wives and husbands and children who have been affected by the loss of or injury to their military parent. Society spends so much time and money propping up so many people who have contributed NOTHING to the world they live in, nor made sacrifices on behalf of the people whose taxes pay their welfare. The money that was spent on the election campaign in the U.S. was an immoral amount of money, money spent on politicians pensions, money paid in overseas aid....all that adds up to a fortune. It is time that the welfare of our returning soldiers was prioritized OVER all those other things...that soldiers are taken care of, do receive the medical treatment and aftercare they require, they do have a comfortable home to live in, and they shouldn't have to worry about finances after being pensioned off. THEY DESERVE AND HAVE EARNED THE RIGHT TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND DIGNITY.........WHILE THEY ARE ALIVE. Thankyou. Kx

.. Our NG and Reserve Units are actually front line units these days... when I was RA from '74 - '77, the NG and reserves were referred to as " part timers" or "weekend warriors "... different story these days.. they serve in combat theaters across the globe and deploy as ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE and MARINE units in a matter of hours. They are and should be awarded the same status as full time military personnel. IMHO.
