My daughter has had PTSD which is twice since she has been home and more people need to know that these men and women have given time and effort for our country and have seen and did things we only see in movies . We need to support them as much as we did when they were overseas. But people forget. As a Father I want my sweet daughter back . That will not happen . She was in a war and lost friends and there is nothing that can make this right

Suicide is a lot more prevalent than you may be aware in the military. My son was witness to one and it was awful but has lost several friends to the stress of it all. Pray for all military for strength.

Service members should received the medical care they need due to their service to this country. I am now having medical problems caused by Agent Orange due to my service in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969.

When every physician in these Soldier Centered Programs begins an appointment with, "Are you (Active/Guard/Reserve) ?" Disparities between treatment are difficult to ignore and easy to explain. National Guardsmen and Reservist, remain misdiagnosed and untreated/under-treated" for what may potentially be life altering/threatening illnesses. This is so wrong.

These are our family friends and neighbors who served when called. The least we can do is pressure Congress,
the VA and DOD into doing the right thing. The strategy all three are following is vicious. It is the same strategy insurance companies use to avoid paying claims. It is known as, "Deny through delay." It is particularly ugly where the treatment requested means the difference between life and death. It is known as, "Deny through delay." It is particularly ugly where the treatment requested means the difference between life and death. A veteran suffering from any number of service connected disabilities is in a desperate position. Waiting a year to get a decision is simply unacceptable. How many Congressmen, VA employees, or DOD civilians, would put up with a 1 year delay awaiting treatment for an injury incurred in their work?

The Congressional route can be maddening but it has been the best one for the people I worked with.
It doesn't hurt if the service member has community support. Ideally from a constituent org. the Congressman takes seriously. DNC, GOP, VFW, Union local and others, all are valuable. I've utilized all. If they are willing to support our member then use them. The Congress has one primary concern, to be re-elected. Constituent support when the constituent is part of their political campaign...

Constituent support when the constituent is part of their political campaign works. There is nothing negative about using this strategy. It is exactly the one lobbyists use every day. It is also the one I used as a Legislative Analyst for a labor organization. (BTW that union started off as a Veteran's rights group in the 1950's) Thank you for doing this petition. Keep Marching Keep Fighting, our service members did.

Do any of us think one of these cowards would say this to a Marine's face. There are a growing number of cowards in our society who use the curtain of the internet to push their far left radical agenda..Teach your children and we will take our country back in a few short years, and undo the agenda of liberal universities, and teachers unions

Common sense...tells us ALL-that this is THE LEAST we can do. Not just thank OUR fellow citizens for serving our country and protecting us, but not it’s OUR turn. They need for US- to serve and Protect THEM.

Mr. O does not care about veterans. I am in disbelief America re-elected him. We are getting what we asked for. For you Libs that vote for Dem's and Lib politics, when you wake up it will be too late. As a two-tour veteran of Vietnam, war is hell.
