Aim looking for work, who want's to take someone in with teeth missing and broken. I never before had a hole in my life in almoast 1 year ( I ve got a sort of sickness that I have to throw up for days and the acid of it made my teeth rotten) all this happend and I cant go to the dentist, cause I cant pay him. This is a horrible circle and I feel like I will never look normal again...

I am sorry that you are having trouble with your teeth but your problem does not sound like dentail problem, it sounds more like a medical or emotional problem (eating disorder). You may not get the nutrition that your body needs. I would worry about other problems you could have, calcium defeincy, heart problems, acid reflex is what the surgeon thinks caused my brothers esophigus cancer. I would go to the doctor as soon as possible and find out what the the problem is. It sounds like you...

If your tooth lose is due to a medical condition your regular insurance may cover it. good luck.

@Alice...she couldnt afford dental and now has lost of her teeth and the ones that are lef are rotting. How is that not a dental prolem? Even now with proper care, she would likely lose the rest of her teeth but be able to get dentures. Martina, I am so sorry and hope you are able to get the care you need, and dont be ashamed to show your smile...I bet it is beautiful :)

In our country (the USA) people shouldn't have to go without medical or dental care.

I long for the day when health care in America will re-establish the fact that the mouth and its contents are actually a part of the body and are a critical part of overall health and wellness.

This is a crisis throughout our nation and this should never happen. The dental professionals should be required to provide more help to indigents and not be so darn greedy! It is sad that we give billion and trillions of dollars to other countries yet we cannot help those less fortunate right here in our own country. Our country is falling so far behind other countries in health care and education. Why? It is unaffordable to go to get routine dental care much less a filling and...

Our country is falling so far behind other countries in health care and education. Why? It is unaffordable to go to get routine dental care much less a filling and x-rays! Dentist are greedy and out of control with pricing! It would be so great to have a Charity Program that people could donate to to help. If there is one out there I sure would like to find out more about it.

Same almost happened to me, I spent 5 years in GREAT need of dental care. I suffered various infections and other health complications due to that. By the month of June, 2012, I was able to get "some" dental care. And I pray that EVERY person gets AT LEAST basic care because it is so important for our health, not receiving it is so really dangerous, OMG! One suggestion from me is that IF ALL those "volunteer" dentists who "fixed" people's teeth on TV just to show up, do some basic treatments...

Instead of volunteering for just one big dental job, to do basic to various people. And HELLO!, if the health Department and government must distribute the money in a better way, things will be easier for all.

I have no Medical or Dental coverage! Too expensive. Not old enough for medicare. People below the poverty line without dependent children should be elegible for help!

I felt its time for me to post this comment now -- the dental and medical health issues are just getting bigger.
and as well as the American debt -- come on now! pharmaceutical and medical companies give us little guys a break and not be so greedy.

I am a married man and father of two little girls.
I have had no dental care for sixteen years due to the fact that the cost of said care does not equate to wages provided to the average citizen.
I have lost jobs before due to dental infections that were so bad I missed work.
For those that have bad infections, go to the emergency room, they will provide help in life threatening infections with an antibiotic shot that will save your life.
Bottom line is this:
Either the cost of said care...

Either the cost of said care must come down or wages must go up, there is no other way for the dental/healthcare system to work.
