Change happens over time. There is no doubt that Canada will eventually introduce laws similar to those in the U.S. where the labelling of type and origin of all imported fur is a legal requirement. Change happens over time. There is no doubt that Canada will eventually introduce laws similar to those in the U.S. where the labelling of type and origin of all imported fur is a legal requirement. But public pressure MUST be brought to bear. It is the hope of the majority of decent humans who regard all animals as sentient beings that eventually, ALL FUR TRADE WILL BE OUTLAWED....and I have no doubt that time will come. In the meantime, we take baby steps...and each small victory is a step in the right direction. Be patient, but be determined. Sign petitions, send emails, share with friends, and make your disapproval, displeasure and disgust at the Chinese meat trade slaughtering cats and dogs for food, and at the opportunistic behaviour of the Canadian government to sanction the import of "cheap" dog and cat furs as a bi-product of that meat trade, ABUNDANTLY CLEAR. IT SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED, JUST AS THE CULL OF SEALS FOR FUR SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED, AND ONLY BY MAKING A LOT OF NOISE WILL THE CANADIAN GOVERNMENT LISTEN.......THE GOVERNMENTS SERVE THE PEOPLE, AND THE PEOPLE MUST SPEAK. Thankyou, Kx
I don't freaking believe this!!! How is this possible in Canada!!?? Aarrrggghhh!!!
It's not a slur on Canadians....there are different attitudes around the world, even different states within USA have different laws on hunting etc. It's about us, and what we find acceptable. Once upon a time, it was O.K. to have slaves, or for women to be owned by their husbands....everything changes gradually, and for the better, so long as people speak out. Kx
Disgusting acts of sheer and utter cruelty shame on you Canada.
MAKES ME SICK TO BE CANADIAN!!!!..DAM HARPER GOVERNMENT.. THE LONGER THEY ARE IN POWER THE WORSE IT GETS.. I WILL NEVER VOTE PC AGAIN..
This is truly a disgrace! Don't buy anything from China or Canada that has anything to do with fur or fake fur! I just want to machine gun them all down where they stand! GRRRR!
Back in cavemen times they wore fur to keep warm but they would have killed the best as quickly as they could and one at a time..... Over population and Outrageous Consumerism has caused this horrific cruelty!!!!
I DON'T EVEN WEAR FAKE FUR ANYMORE BECAUSE IT STILL REPRESENTS WEARING FUR IS OKAY AND IT IS NOT! KIM KARDASHIAN WORE FUR ON TH RED CARPET THAT BITCH!!!
Hi! Sorry, just quickly, in caveman times, they wore fur because it was essential-but they used it from discarded carcasses that other animals had hunted-they didn't have the tools to kill prey back then which is why humans were initially NOT meat eaters. It was only on discovering better tools that we became hunters ourselves-this was many years later. :) xxxx

Dios dice:toda la verda es amor. y no podemos hablar de amor mientras sigamos manchandonos las manos de sangre inocente.
el amor incondicional que nos dan los hermanos los animales no puede ser entendido por algunos corazones endurecidos.
The live skinning of dogs and cats has been one of the main, horrendous evils I have been fighting against for years and years.... yet I see more and more animal cruelty every day. It makes me furious and sick, but it also makes me want to keep fighting against such horrendous cruelty.... and I WILL KEEP ON DOING SO!
