So, on "Mother's Day", should we thank women for supporting men's rights?
Ahem, I think that's a complicated debate you're starting there Laura.
And I guess we should designate a White History month because twelve months a year aren't enough for some folks. Men were never considered property of their wives. Men's wives were never allowed, by law, to beat their husbands. Women were never allowed to have their husbands imprisoned with little or even no reason. Men were never barred from voting, having a credit card, owning property, pursuing a degree, employment outside a very limited list, equal pay for equal work... .
I would like to thank my dad for believing in all his 9 girls, providing an education and respecting our views while growing up. Even if he still held traditional views, he himself was not a tyrant in our house nor did he make his presence unbearable on us. While living in my dad's house I did not know there were men who looked down on women and treated them badly. Thanks for the legacy you started in our lives and continues to carry to this day. Long live dad!
Wow we used to call them the mukanda girls @ kansenshi chapel they used to sing besutifullly ms them xx
Although this uncertain phase we are going through I take this opportunity to thank so many men in Egypt who are supporting women's rights as an integral part of social justice and equality raised by our revolution.
Afaf, have you seen this video yet? Egyptian men speaking out against sexual harassment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=72RGtkwRMqU#!

Thank you to the real men who respect and support women, s rights.
Thanks to any male that honestly feel they should support Women's rights!
A man who supports woman's right and fight for it deserves the respect of all humankind because he is a superior being who understands the meaning of life...
