So, on "Mother's Day", should we thank women for supporting men's rights?
Ahem, I think that's a complicated debate you're starting there Laura.
And I guess we should designate a White History month because twelve months a year aren't enough for some folks. Men were never considered property of their wives. Men's wives were never allowed, by law, to beat their husbands. Women were never allowed to have their husbands imprisoned with little or even no reason. Men were never barred from voting, having a credit card, owning property, pursuing a degree, employment outside a very limited list, equal pay for equal work... .
Although this uncertain phase we are going through I take this opportunity to thank so many men in Egypt who are supporting women's rights as an integral part of social justice and equality raised by our revolution.

This Fathers Day I wish to thank not only my wonderful father, but my all of my uncles, who although coming from a generation of centuries old tradition, have nurtured ny exploration, stood by my decisions in life, andalways endorsed equality of thought, speech, education, respect and freedom for a woman!
What a wonderful idea! Sorry I missed the occasion to share.
Everyone who shows encouragement for others should be honoured and supported. Thumbs up for each one of them.
