Ive got a library card for my university & for my local public library which is all made possible because of the Alaska Library Network Organization!
Did u know?
That many libraries are starting 2 keep & checkout out a e-book from the ever growing list of ebooks available!
It is nothing like to read a good book!
I have had a library card since I was a child and can not imagine not having a card or a library near me. I have lived in a number of places-Louisiana, California, Colorado, Texas and Oregon and have had a card in every state or town that I lived in.
the Library is important to all. An American institution.
I love the smell of new books and always first read at the back or inside who the author is and what he or she is like en from where. My father also use to read stories to us since I was very small "Bloubaard" "Soetlief" who knows that?
I borrow at least four books a month from my local library, I dont have the space at home to keep my own books so would be lost if it closed!
I can't remember a time that I didn't go to the public library at least once a month!
I've had one since I was 4. My daughter and her family moved back here very recently and they all have cards now. Long live the libraries!
You'd been doing a great injustice if you don't expose your child/children to the library. Reading a book to them would be one of the most memorable times in their lives.
My daughter is a librarian so I know how tough it has been with budgert cuts. I've had a library card since childhood.
