I prefer real books I love holding and turning a page and the smell and cover of each one, there is nothing like the look of a real book with beautiful writing on each page to make me want to look after and care for that book like a lost friend..a electronic book or anything on a screen does not have the same appeal to me..

I can't see the need for electronic "books". The humble real book is fine. Irreplaceable in my view. Electronic books for the disabled is one thing but other than that, I just can't see the need.

Margo, I feel the same about music. Nothing like holding a physical album in your hand and having the cover art or having a box set. Long live real books and real albums!

Libraries will keep our kids off the street if we can get them to read! I for one love to read and so does my son, it opens up a whole new world!

Libraries are the stohre house of knowledge for the children. The books help them to soar their imagination higher and higher towards the sun.

I have my library card and I use it many times, but I do need to use it more... Our libraries are being hurt by the new technology of e-book downloads & our libraries is an essential organization for all ages...

As an English teacher for 30 years, I cannot express the joy I found sharing my love for books. Books got me through the death of my mother, the hot summers of adolescence, and the sweet moments of motherhood. Lets keep our libraries open and available for the future generations!

Me, too -- I remember when I was in 2nd or 3rd grade, we lived in rural Indiana and the bookmobile would come to our street -- I looked SO forward to that day every two weeks -- I would pore over EVERY title and carefully make my selections --

Our children are already sorely lacking in reading skills. I credit my love of reading to helping me be successful in school and life.

I grew up with my dad taking me to the library at an early age and 40 years on I am still going there at least twice a week. I also do computer courses there. The Kindle is a nuisance and will only help towards shutting down the libraries and putting decent people out of work.

You bet! and the feel of paper, not metal, in your hands. Though I admit they're GREAT for older people, whose eyesight & memories just ain't what it use to be--my now nearly-blind uncle can read the BOOKS he had accumulated over 5 decades...Namaste, and may the light be always POIFECT for us to READ! xoxo

I have always had a public library card! It's about the books and the variety of educational tools that you have accessible to you. It's great for anyone, any age..... Priceless.

Please people help by keeping our libruary open for our children and save our libruary. Our children and the people will benefit if our libruary stays open to the public and it is very important too.
