every physio must sign dis petition....
Create a council for Physiotherapists to save this noble profession...
I am always ready to fight for our council.
i always beleive that physiotherapy is a seperate wing. I support the fight.
What about our pay structure? We are still the worst paid specialists and our designation is still that of a technician in govt. set up!
@Mohua: Pay Structure, that can be worked out only If we have a legal framework to talk upon. and the only possible legal framework that can have these powers to suggest to GoI is Council. So we Need council for maintenance of Our Profession.
Every physiotherapist is ready for council but only 5% physio will come forward for the profession.
u r true shambhu
RECRUITEMENT RULES (R R) for physio's in govt job has not been changed for more than 3 decades, Because of that physios salary also fixed low(Diploma qualification salary)even though 90% of physio's are graguate&post graduate holders.Another important problem is physio's are tagged as "Technician" according to Govt of india(Ministry of Health?)
yes and the reason is the definition of Physiotherapy in Govt records is very old (fr0m 1950s).They have not updated it even though WHO has changed the definition of PT and practice since then.
Why would Indian Govt want to pay to Physios or even bother to change any law. if health was their concern , the situation in India would have been better. There are people in GOvt who want to help and also people who do not want to change the scenario...
Do u believe that.. this step can unite all PT together under a same roof.. From the Legendary President to all Candidates....................
Dear, I believe in equality, and this step is taken by me without any support, and my ideology of grouping says equality and i believe in Sense of Equality leads to Unity, sooner or latter, my little effort may evolve in the huge mass.

Lately lots of reforms have been made in medical education and health care and many more are gone take place soon as our honorable PM has said recently in a convocation speech some where in south. But unfortunately still Physiotherapy Council Bill is taking dust some where on politicians desk. Friends, think seriously about your profession. It is about...
