Politicians and churches need to be working now, all out, on this crucial issue for moms and dads and most of all for the children. They want to lead us, let them lead in the right direction.

Wat sad is that @ 1 time there used to be emergency housing for those that are homeless & really need housing right away. Now when u ask housing for EH, they say there is no such thing as Emergency Housing & everybody has to wait the same amount of time. Then when u ask wat about pple that are homeless they say that "O I don't know wat to say but they have to just wait". SMDH, THIS CONTRY IS SO CORRUPT!!!! All this miney for the rich

Single seniors and disabled people, also. They need to get these people out of these transient hotels and homeless shelters and off the streets where they put them into and re-open the Section 8 program so they can "voucher" the empty homes to people who need them.

There are too many empty houses out here for people, especially moms, families, seniors, and disabled people, for anyone to be sitting around with no place to go because the waiting lists are closed out or there is no more...

There are too many empty houses out here for people, especially moms, families, seniors, and disabled people, for anyone to be sitting around with no place to go because the waiting lists are closed out or there is no more housing available or section 8 waiting lists are closed. There are plenty of EMPTY homes and apartments around here, especially the homes they foreclosed on that shouldn't have happened in the first place.

Those "settlements" being paid by the banks and mortgage companies need to go straight to funding Section 8 properties through HUD and the FHA, and re-housing the people they cheated out of their homes in the first place.
