Wolf spelled backwards is FLOW, from the Wolf came the Dog, we all know and love this creature, the wolf is even closer to the great spirit in rank and knowledge, this dog creature so close to us also has a message DOG spelled backwards is GOD.
the moral of this thought is all things flow from God thru them to us, and we need to stand and remember our real purpose in life. SAVE the world, save the trees, the waters, the animals, the oceans and all the life we rule over. BE a good Sheppard. I...

Not until the last animal is hunted,
the last tree is cut,
the last river is poisoned,
the last fish is caught,
will you know that money can not be eaten. * Cree prophecy*.

"We did not create the web of life, we are merely a strand.
in it. What we do to the web, we do to ourselves."
If the beasts were all gone, man would die of a great loneliness.
of spirit. For whatever happens to the beasts soon happens to.
man. All things are connected. ~ Chief Seattle, 1854 ~.

This is a beautiful statement, of course being made by the American Indian. The white man is still greedy and his greed will destroy our beautiful environment and habitat.

This cause may help shedding some of the misconceptions about the Wolfs in general and bring to light just how senseless the slaughter of wolfs is, as it also been proven again and again the predators serve an important role in the Eco system. I do hope First People of America can help to establish an healthy environment and curb the cruel culling of Wolfs, for what is currently being practiced can hardly be called conservation efforts and or hunting. The wolfs have become an outlet for bloodletting and torture.

thank you for this Post. I will do all I can to help. I agree that the wolves have become yet another outlet for bloodletting and torture the white man is so very good at. Blessings...many, many blessings to you all. I hold you close in my heart.

I now live in Idaho and am appalled by the irrational fear and hatred against this magnificent creature spread by those with political and economic motives, whose sight is too blinded to see the truth. I am an ecologist who understands the critical role wolves play in maintaining the balance in natural ecosystems. Politics in the northern Rockies of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming are extremely egocentric and based on greed, hatred, and irrational fear against wolves. I was extremely disappointed to hear that the politics in Minnesota have deteriorated to the same level as that in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming by planning for a wolf hunting season and even considering trapping. These inhumane practices against this important predator must stop as wolves are playing a critical role in restoring natural systems that human interference has messed up. I stand with my Native American brothers and sisters in protecting this noble animal.

I think the main issue is that there really isn't a biological reason, or need for a wolf season in Minnesota. Deer populations are high in most of the state and wolves ceertainly play an important role in keeping them in check. Indiscriminant hunting, trapping, snaring, etc. will disrupt the pack social structure, resulting in mortality of many of the alpha's which will cause juveniles to stray into livestock areas, rather than hunt within the pack. DNR biologists, at least some of them,...

Indiscriminant hunting, trapping, snaring, etc. will disrupt the pack social structure, resulting in mortality of many of the alpha's which will cause juveniles to stray into livestock areas, rather than hunt within the pack. DNR biologists, at least some of them, should know this, but strong anti-wolf interests have influenced the Republican lawmakers to push for a hunting season. Unlike here in the northern Rockies, where the hunting/ranching influenced lawmakers/politicians want to completely eradicate wolves, Minnesota will continue to have wolves, but more problems (not less) will result from the hunt, as it will seriously disrupt pack social structure.

The Native Americans took better care of this earth and the wildlife. Unlike the people now. Sports Hunters, Governors of the Northern Rocky Mts States. Politicians and Ranchers. It is funny that "Double Circle Ranch" in Arizona says their cattle and wolves co-exists.

Wolves, cougars, bears coexisted with deer, elk, moose, etc. for thousands of years before European settlement. Native Americans lived WITH the natural world, while European settlers tried changing the natural order by bringing in their cattle, sheep, horses, etc. destroying predators in the process. Wild predators have lived in the northern Rockies and Lake States much longer than domestic livestock who have caused irrepable damage to natural ecosystems. When a conflict exists, wolves have seniority!
