All of us that enjoy the freedoms this country provides should do "everything" in our power to help or support the brave people that serve, that have served, and those that will serve to protect our freedoms.

Hell yeah! Thank you to all who have served, and remember that there have been thousands of homosexual members who served proudly; yet were OTH or Dishonorably discharged from their careers.... I was USNavy Petty Officer Third Class aboard the USS Callaghan bearing my soul to the military, yet lost it all in shame due to my sexuality in an instant. America does not = bigotry....

Anything that can be done to help our veterans should be top priority to all Americans and policy makers. More, Service Dogs must be included in this forward motion. Like other vets, they gave until it hurt and now is the time to make things right. My daddy was a WWII vet and a POW in Germany who came back in a straight jacket and no mental health support. His life and the dreams he had been working on prior to service were stripped away and he was left with only the never ending pictures...

His life and the dreams he had been working on prior to service were stripped away and he was left with only the never ending pictures and sounds that repeated in his head daily and every night. His dogs and other creature beings were his only solace. He died a few years ago and had lived his entire life damaged in mind, body and spirit. He gave so much to his country and was left with nothing but pain, flashbacks and isolation. No vet should ever have to live a life like this.

I agree with Rich Kreuter, I am also the proud mother of a current 28yr old female navy drill srgt. I am saddened to hear women are set back decades due to our country's inability to adjust once again to women in rolls once thought only men could do.Women have overcome these issues before they will again, it's sad they have to though.

I support any women that wants to join the U.S. arm forces to defend our country and I feel they should be given the added resources to do so!
