Rachel I am so glad that everything worked out for you. I know that cancer is not one of the things that we need to hear. But I am so glad for you.
Thanks Sharon--I have taken the pledge-linda Linn.
last year I was diagnosed with skin melanoma on my arm. After successful surgery I have learned to be moe aware and check regularly for irregular marked, bumps, etc. Fortunately I am in remission, take the time to.
get checked and check yourself regularly.
/Thankyou for the information. I have a discoloration above my left cheek bone. I did have it treated a few years ago only to find out it was an age spot, which ws removed but comes back in the spring when I use self tanning lotion and then goes away in the fall when I no longer use the lotion. I pledge to report any new spots to my Dr right away. I go in every six months for a check up. I am 75 years old so anything strange on my skin gets reported...Thankyou for sharing your story.
I have been ucky enough to never know anyone with this and I pray it stays that way and I hope you stay in remission and my prayers are with anyone that ever goes through what you have.
We take the pledge! Thankful Rachel is in remission!
About 12 yrs ago my Dad had melanoma he's doing fine (thank GOD) he had the MOHS proceedure followed a short time later with reconstructive surgery. I guess he had a serious dent in the side of his head until the reconstructive surgery. He looks and feels just fine now, again thank GOD and the Doctors at Billings Clinic Dermatology!
everyone shouldcheck themselves, you neverknow!
Ive had friends and family that found it early and had good prognosis. Early detection for your skins protection!
I had a melanoma in 2001, a year after retirement........I went to the Dermatologist for another reason, and she found the melanoma.........took it out immediately and I go regularly for checkup's. Thank heaven's for me going to her for something minor....................
