I get a skin check up every six months. I just had a skin cancer taken off my chin, it came out negative and they got it all. I was a life guard eight years and spent far too much time in the sun. I am using a good sun screen now.

My Dad died at age 24 from Melanoma-I was a sun worshipper as a young girl-at age 34 noticed a mole on my back had changed. It was a stage 2 melanoma-Had the biggest fright of my life-I had screenings for years and now go for regular mole mapping-and so does my son.Long time non-sunworshipper-Always apply sunscreen-no matter what!

I just came from the dermatologist for my skin check up. I had a malignant melanoma behind my right knee in 1987. It was stage IV, but had not spread. Luckily.
